“Very tasty”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

Had heard about this place through friends & thought we'd pop in when in the neighbourhood. So much flavour marrying together from our thali (lots of little nibbles to enjoy when your not sure what to have) We also had the dosa ( crispy pancake stuffed with lamb). You could tell they make everything on the premises. The service was efficient & friendly & the lady on the counter made us feel welcome & explained items we we're not sure about too. Full happy tummies to rub on the way home :)

“Excellent and authentic South Indian food”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

This is a smallish, friendly restaurant serving a range of South Indian specialities. Had a very good onion rava masala dosa, freshly cooked and authentic. Prices are very reasonable for Edinburgh, it is not licensed so you can bring your own wine and beer which keeps the cost down.

“Delicious fresh food”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

Delicious fresh food a la southern India. The dosai are especially good, with super sambar. Service is personal, smiling, and helpful, unlike the only male on tables, who almost spoilt our Sunday evening visit by trying to shoo us out as soon as we had finished eating. The only negative factor in three visits.

“Authentic & YUM!”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

I'm from south india and have literally grown up on idlis and dosas, so I know what the real taste is like and I was impressed by the taste and authenticity of the food so far away from home, it was an absolute delight to have the hot steaming idli sambhar and dosas just after a cold chilly evening out! The prices are reasonable and the service is nice and friendly too, i'm going to be back here everytime now! :)

“A favourite, great food and service”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

Our third time here and always as good! Just love the dosas but everything tasty and fresh and such brilliant value - especially with BYOB. The staff are helpful, not pushy and there's always a real mix of families, groups and couples - make sure you book as it's always full! Restaurant quite bright so not for you if you are wanting cosy and romantic but knocks spots off most other Indian restaurants and is definitely a favourite.
