“Your own home in Edinburgh”

I have just spent a week staying in this classic Edinburgh home with my two older children. After five weeks on the road, staying in small hotels and apartments, this house, with so much space to spread out and a bedroom for everyone, was a real treat.
The house itself has a very authentic feel and a great view of Arthurs Seat from the front windows. Though an older style dwelling, everything was very clesn, the heating adequate, the hot water plentiful and the kitchen well equipped. The wi-fi was excellent!
From first contact, until our check out, Sheila and Ian were responsive and helpful, even assisting us with a couple of personal issues which arose during our stay in Edinburgh. I highly recommend this property to those wishing to experience living like a local.

“Brilliant spacious accommodation”
Reviewed May 26, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

The apartment is brilliant and very spacious for the eight of us staying there. Sheila is very accommodating and helpful and made arranging a weekend away very easy. The apartment has beautiful views of Arthur's Seat (it is only a 5 mins walk away from Holyrood Park). It is well located and easy to get to and from the train station and airport. It has a lovely sized kitchen, huge living room, great sized bedrooms and large windows throughout. The pictures don't do it justice. We had a lovely weekend and would definitely recommend staying here.

“Good and spacious accommodation in Edinburgh”
Reviewed May 6, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

There were seven of us staying including a baby. The accommodation has four bedrooms and all the living space an extended family or group of friends would require for a very comfortable stay. The accommodation is on the second and third floors of a large town house with it's own entrance. The location is a very quiet part of residential Edinburgh but only a few minutes walk from a main bus route that then gets you into the city centre in 10 minutes.

“Great place to stay with fantastic views and easy access to the city”

We have just spent a lovely week at 9 Dryden Place and the apartment exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spacious, nicely furnished and the bathrooms and kitchen were modern and well equipped. The kitchen also has a great farmhouse table to share meals around. The kids (teenagers and a 4 year old) all thought it was a great place to stay in. The apartment is in a lovely quiet area with great views of Arthur's Seat. Easy access to town on Edinburgh's great bus service so we didn't bother with the car too much at all. Another bonus for us was the quick 2 minute walk round to the nearby commonwealth pool. The owners Ian and Sheila were very hospitable and around if we needed them at all. We would highly recommend Dryden Place and will definitely be looking to stay there again on another trip.

“Great Week”
Reviewed April 18, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We stayed here for a week over Easter holidays with my daughter and her family (aged 2 and 4). It was excellent value and a great family/group house. Handy for transport to all the sights in Edinburgh and just across the road from the Commonwealth Pool. The girls had a great time and we will certainly stay again. Thanks.

“Wonderful New Year”
Reviewed January 6, 2014 for a stay in December 2013

I booked Dryden Place for myself and 7 friends over New Year and it was exactly what we were looking for. Sheila was incredibly hospitable and explained everything we would need to know for the weekend. The rooms were plenty big enough for all of us (although the study probably isn't suitable for an extra bed as it is a tad on the small side, although we managed fine as there was plenty of room in other guest rooms).
The kitchen was well equipped and perfect for our NYE dinner party. Location was great, we walked to Arthurs seat in ten minutes and the centre of town in about 15-20. There is a tesco express round the corner and a few nice pubs close by.

For convenience I would give this place 10/10!

“We loved the place!”
Reviewed November 30, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We travelled with our extended family; 7 of us with a toddler and we all loved the apartment. It was beautiful and cosy, not to mention spacious with a fantastic kitchen. The view from the rooms were absolutely perfect. Sheila was very friendly and helpful, we were so comfortable during our stay! We will definitely want to come back one day!
