“Thought Provoking”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2013

This museum was highly interesting. Taking you through all the different wars, particually focussing on the scottish history. At the end of the meseum there is a section on soldiers that had lost limbs in battle and how their lives have changed as a result of the amazing prosethic limbs now availble. It was incredibly thought provoking and emotive.

There is so much history that we are unaware of and places like this bring it all to life. Very informative and well set out.

Great history, very interesting! Free admission as it is situated within Edinburgh castle. Was a great find as we didnt know it was there. Quite modern on the inside with great artefacts and videos

“Very moving”

Located within Edinburgh Castle (with no additional charge beyond the castle entrance fee), the museum building itself is impressive and beautiful. I asked one of the guard/caretakers a question, and we had an interesting and informative (to me) conversation.

(Food and other amenities are available at the castle but not within the museum itself.)
