Visited during the Edinburgh Festival and really enjoyed the experience. The building itself is remarkable. Even if you don't have time to look at the exhibit, duck into the atrium which is stunning and a work of art in itself. Also highly recommend the cafeteria just next to the atrium. An Edinburgh friend told us to have lunch there and we weren't disappointed. It's cafeteria-style--self service--but the quality and variety of food is outstanding. Healthy, fresh, delicious dishes--hot and cold. Light, airy room decorated with portraits from the collection.
