Owner description: Holyrood Park is a unique historic landscape in the heart of the city, whose dramatic crags and hills give Edinburgh its distinctive skyline. Within the park is a wealth of history and archaeology spanning thousands of years. Arthur's Seat is one of four hill forts, dating from around 2,000 years ago. As well as it's rich cultural heritage, the park offers walks, solace, wildlife, volcanic geology and unparalleled vistas of the city from its many vantage points.

“A must see side of Edinburgh!”

Lovely views of the city and a variety if trails to try. We hiked one of the shorter routes that only took about 90 minutes. Walked past Hollywood palace after then up the royal mile.

“Wonderful natural resource for the people of Edinburgh”
Reviewed August 17, 2014

What a wonderful natural resource for the people of Edinburgh this is. If I lived in this city I would be often tempted to come and walk in Holyrood Park. It provides a perfect backdrop for the city, and an opportunity for exercise and relaxation, with the benefit of fabulous views.

“Great views of the city.”
Reviewed August 14, 2014 via mobile

Nice, easy hike with more challenging choices. Started at the base near Holyrood Park Road and finished at the royal palace. Some of the best views of the city that I found. Well worth the effort and makes for a good early morning jaunt before things open up.
