“Excellent tour.”
Reviewed October 27, 2013 via mobile

Had a great tour. We were the only family on an early tea time tour so not too spooky for daughter. The history was great. Very informative. Got to see a lot of the coty wouldnt of otherwise and price was very reasonable. The tour guide was lovely and we were able to ask any questions. Visited one of the vaults. Spooky unusual very dark intimidating place. Sadly never saw any paranormal activity but.....not sure we really wanted to?? Highly recommended.

“Great fun, nice walk!”
Reviewed October 23, 2013

With a group of 15 we did the ghost tour. Our lovely guide Hannah became the celtic witch, a role she performed great. A nice walk through the old city, great ghost stories. Definitely something you will like to do.

“Boring and does not worth the money”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

I have been to the Underground Ghost Tour as they call it in Edinburgh, the tour guide was a funny girl and she is quite interesting and she has the skill to attract people to her tour, however, the price we paid was 13 pounds for the underground vaults and the graveyard, once we started to walk in, I surprised that the underground city is only a two old rooms ! And it too dark you can't see any thing and the time you spent inside actually is just listen to the tour guide stories which is unbelievable.. The graveyard is totally a joke as anyone can access for free to that place and it contain nothing apart from some tombs ..

“For blood thirsty ghouls”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

There are a few tours offered by Mercat (old Scottish for Market), we went on the one starting at 8.30pm and visited the old vaults and Canon Gate graveyard, it was called 'doomed, dead and buried' and it was excellent!

It lasts for approx. 2 hours, quite a bit of walking and includes slippy steps and gravestones, so wear trainers. You will see parts of Edinburgh you didn't know existed. Its all in English (Scottish actually) with no translation, so maybe not for foreign speakers only.

Our 12 year old loved it, but its probably not suitable for any younger than that. Our guide 'Kim' was fab!

“Edinburgh Ghost Tour”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

We left with a tour near the Tron that operated Fromm booth with Time Machine on it. The tour advertised underground vaults, but we only went into one underground room and looked at a small hole in the wall with a clam shell in it. Massively disappointed and a lot of walking then to Grey Friars Church and graveyard with very few stories and not many we're relevant with regard to the area being visited. Guide was a lovely person, but this tour was a waste of money. Mary King's Close was excellent and a much better venue.
