Wow!
Just went there for breakfast, never been before, and i truly must say I have never had anything like it!
Staff were sooo friendly. Breakfast was phoenominal! (we got the big yin breakfast). Atmosphere is exactly what you want. Relaxed and content.
If you have not been here you are missing out big time!
I have to stress I'm not even a breakfast eater. Well this place has changed that.
Great price for the quality of food.
Can't wait to come back and try the pulled pork sandwich!
Thanks

This place is really cool with very nice staff, but c'mon, reserving tables in a pub?? Ok, in the restaurant area is understandable, but its so frustrating after 3 visits not being able to get a seat in the bar despite being surrounded by empty tables as they are reserved for what appears to be noisy, underdressed, over tanned hen parties. Yes they bring in the money, but look after your locals too, they're the ones that keep business ticking over when the 'L plate wearing, pink Stetson sporting' groups are out of season!
So, rant over, roll on the winter season and an enjoyable drink, in relaxing surroundings, with great staff and a comfy seat!

visited this eatery recently and enjoyed cocktails and food, staff very friendly, visit almost spoilt when the cup being used as a light shade fell out and hit my friend, however due to the quirky charm of this place and despite the fright my friend received there was no real harm done. well worth a visit if only for the unusual presentation and décor.

Went for dinner on a Monday evening and found the place was pretty busy so we were pleased we had booked.
Staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived.
We were a party of 4 and everyone found the menu had plenty of tempting options. The lentil soup was excellent and the chicken pie got plaudits as a main course. I had the burger royale which was very good.
We all shared churros for pudding which were great fun and absolutely unnecessary!
..
3 courses plus coffee and a bottle of wine for 4 for £100 represents excellent value.
If you have not been here before you might find the outside appearance under-stated but you must not be put off. This place is a real gem..

WOW, so glad we found this gem!

Walking into the Roseleaf, you're hit by the quirkyness of the decor. Even the menu's are presented inside old National Geographic magazines. It's at this point you start to realise that the owners have thought a lot about how they want the place to be perceived.

You can chose from a decent selection of food and drinks, homemade juices and ginger beer for example. All have funny little descriptions.

My wife and I went for the full breakfast, it was amazing. Served in the Le Creuset pan they were cooked in, we got lovely streaky bacon, beautiful black pudding, great sausages and home made tattie scone. When we said we didnt want the mushrooms, we were immediately asked if we wanted a replacement. I forgot to say that the banter from the chef/owner was great, very friendly and caring.

They also bake their own bread.

We live in Corstorphine, the Roseleaf is in Leith, we've found a new place to go and enjoy a weekend brekkie. I've never had a better one!!

Keep up the first class work guys!!
