Malvarosa is great. We had 5 dishes plus bread (olive bread - mmm) between 2 with some lovely rioja wine (white and red). Heartily recommend the veggie and seafood dishes - smoky prawns and cheesy auberginey goodness.

Desserts were great (Spanish almond cake and a sort of boozy soaked biscuit cake with chocolate sauce), and the service was friendly and relaxed. And to top it all, you can have a walk along the beach afterwards.

We have been here for lunch before and it has been a really good experience. However for Valentine's day I really think the staff - both chefs and service excelled. We were made to feel welcome and special, and the ambience, despite it being a dreich and dismal night, was perfect.
Our food included some delicious home made olive bread, which I'd happily eat daily! Our mains was a selection of 6 veggie tapas. Each dish was extremely tasty and a great variety.
The wine was so well priced, and just as good as the food. We had a 3 course meal, wine, water and complimentary cava for less than £60. All served with a smile - faultless!

Always meant to try Malverosa but it's on the other side of the City where we live but having see the Amazon local offer of 4 Tapa for a tenner inc coffee I thought we have to try and where not disappointed. The 4 We Chose were Calamares fritos, - Nice crispy squid rings, Pollo al ajillo, - small pieces of chicken thigh coated and fried, Pincho Moruno - pork kebabs marinated with Moorish spices & Pescado adobado - haddock marinated in sherry, battered and deep fried, all excellent. We also added some bread & Olives - V Panoliva home made olive bread & Extra de Ali-Oli wonderful Garlic mayo & V Aceitunas nice green olives add to this a bottle of Rioja Vallemayor and we had a wonderful lunch tasty in all aspects and nothing left uneaten. Portions were a reasonable size to share between two and with our extra bread and olives were quite happy though we did manage some Churros with a chocolate dip with our coffee Need to go again and try more of the offerings as ours was a limited choice (tapa under £6) due to our offer/deal. So we are - Next Sunday for a sherry tasting they are doing accompanied by Tapas - Looking forward to it and intend to try many more of the dishes on offer
