Just home from a wonderful stay in the beautiful city of Edinburgh. The Edinburgh City Hotel was perfect for our stay, we didn't want to spend a lot but still wanted to be close to the city centre. As we arrived very early to the hotel, we expected to just leave our bags and begin exploring but thankfully we were given a beautiful room by the very helpful receptionist. The room was very spacious and extremly clean. The hotel itself is about a 10-15 minute walk to the main area, Princes street but we did not mind this. Breakfast was not included in the price of our stay, but we tried the hotel one morning and were not to satisfied. The breakfast was only ok, but as the days went on we found that anywhere we tried downtown were also not great for breakfast. Us Irish are spoiled with good fry's! All in all we were very pleased, €150 for 3 nights, ultra clean rooms, staff super helpful, good distance from city, I would definitely stay here again.
