“Service with a smile”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

I am already a fan of the Hard Rock cafe's and have been to quite a few. I looked on the website before our trip and booked a table, received confirmation and printed it out. We arrived a few mins early and handed over the paperwork to the guy on the front desk and proceeded to the shop... after spending some time (and money) on a few items - for the little grandchildren, my wife and a T for me... the guy on the front came over and told us our table was ready when we were. Got seated very quickly and had a look at the menu... As an american chain, we know how large the portions are, so we know what to expect... ordered and had a look around. I do like wandering around to see what memorabilia they have and of course listen to the music being played on the many tv screens. Its not the cheapest food around but you do know that the food you get is nice stuff and nicely cooked. I was pleased to see the staff questioning a young group over their age and insisted on proof of age before any booze could be ordered (they chose soft drinks). I am pleased we booked a table as it was rather busy and with a very wide age range of those sat at the tables.

“One of the better Hard Rock Cafes!”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

I feel very many of the American restaurant chains like Tgi Fridays, Hard Rock, Planet Hollywood, Rain forest cafe etc has lost the magic over the years, and become dull, low quality and low service restaurants. I was therefore a bit hesitant about eating here, but for once I was wrong, and some of the magic came back.
With great service and good food we really enjoyed an early dinner here before going back to Norway.
Portions very big, and with free refills on soft drinks we were rolling out of there.
And yes, the music is loud, which some might find disturbing.
Free WiFi as well.

“Rock On!”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

Standard template for all the Hard Rock venues, and it works every time! Great atmosphere and enthusiastic staff (how do they remain so enthusiastic); with Freddie Mercury lookalikes waiting on.
As usual, the food and drinks were overpriced. The Potato Skins were seriously bland, but the Burgers were very good, and we will still think of 'Hard Rocks' as must-do attractions on our travels!

“This Hard Rock Gets It Right!!!”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

I visit Hard Rock Cafe's whenever I travel, all over the world. This was my 2nd time in this location and 54th overall. The food was exactly as expected. The service was very good (excellent by Scottish standards) and the atmosphere was perfect. We had a wonderful time!

“Great Atmosphere”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

Great food in a fun atmosphere the staff were dressed as Freddy Mercury. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was lovely and service was fast. The drinks were very scrumptious and we paid to keep the glasses. This is a good place to eat if you are visiting Edinburgh.
