Lovely hotel and accomodating staff.. good breakfast and comfortable rooms with excellent shower (very important). Good location tucked away nicely but not far from the heart of the city.
Will be staying here again for sure...

Having stayed in the Bath Brooks, I was hoping Edinburgh would live up to the high expectations set there - and it did! Beautiful hotel - great room with a super comfy bed + fantastic shower. The lounge area was lovely, the breakfast was excellent + all the staff were really friendly. The location is brilliant as it is within walking distance of the city centre, but just far enough away from the hustle + bustle of typical central hotels. I will definitely stay again!

We stayed with our 2 kids over the Easter break and had a great weekend. It is a bit of a walk into town but nothing our 4 year old couldn't handle. Breakfast is a great option and the staff were all lovely. We didn't arrive until nearly midnight but the room was all ready for us and even had a few hidden surprises - Easter eggs for the kids!!! Keep up the good work guys and if we are every back in Edinburgh we will sure to stay with yourselves.

I have searched online for a hotel in Edinburgh for a couple of days. Lucky I came across of this beautiful hotel within acceptable budget. As it is recently renovated the interiors impress you right from the start of your stay. It offers Wi-Fi connection included in the price and it's available all around the whole hotel and rooms. The typical UK breakfast is simply delicious. The classic continental breakfast was also available. Once arrived we were welcomed by very friendly stuff who showed us the lobby and the bar with a wide offer of local whiskey. As we stayed there during the Easter holiday, we were surprised by chocolate eggs hidden in our room. The room was always very well cleaned everyday as well as the bathroom. The hotel is 10 minutes walking from Edinburgh city centre and the location close to renovated Edinburgh Quad with couple restaurants is also favorable. I would definitely recommend this splendid place to stay in Edinburgh for a longer weekend. We are planning a trip back to Edinburgh in the summer months when we hope the weather will be somewhat warmer and we definitely plan on staying at the Brooks Hotel again. We loved this place.

Room Tip: Take the breakfast.

Stayed one night and was very impressed with this hotel. It punches well above its weight. Bed was very comfortable, shower room had quality fixtures and fittings and the room very nicely decorated. Like some others have commented, the wifi was down but that didn't inconvenience us. Great location being less than 10 minutes walk from Haymarket station and about a 10 minutes to Princes street. Staff were excellent. Breakfast was great and a really comfortable residents lounge where you can take the weight off your feet and enjoy a drink from a decent selection at the honesty bar. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation if I was looking for a hotel in Edinburgh.

I have previously stayed at this hotel when it was the Herald House Hotel, however could not get over the changes. Since the hotels change of management and revamp the place has become a beautiful boutique hotel with beautiful rooms and a wonderful bar and breakfast lounge. I could barely believe it was the same place.
The staff at the hotel were great, all of them were so helpful and polite.
The location of the hotel was also a bonus, it was only a 10 minute walk to the Grass Market, however on the weekend we visited it was so cold we did tend to use taxis.
My boyfriend and I are planning a trip back to Edinburgh in the summer months when we hope the weather will be somewhat warmer and we definitely plan on staying at the Brooks Hotel again.

I loved this place. It was right near the center of Edinburgh. The beds and rooms were very inviting and comfortable. The only problem was, we had to sit out in the halls for a few hours to get wifi. There was no wifi in the rooms. I'd definitely go back, if they fix the wifi problem.

Dear Guest, I'm delighted you enjoyed your stay and feel you would return to Brooks Hotel. I appologise the Wi-Fi failed last weekend. BT broadband was knocked out in the area due to a power surge and unfortunately this had an effect on our internal Wi-Fi even after thay had resolved the problem. Our It support team resolved the problem on Monday and Wi-Fi is now stable. Sorry for any inconvienience caused and we hope to see you in Edinburgh again soon! Kind regards Andrew
