Stayed here for a couple of nights last weekend. Great location, close to the pubs, restaurants, shops etc. The room was smaller than expected but everything you could need, apart from a safe. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was amazing! Few marks on the bed sheet but apart from that very clean. One thing I would say is that the hotel bar is very expensive. I would stay here again because of the location and I thought it was worth what I paid.

Chose this hotel due to its proximity to the train station and the attractions of Edinburgh. We really couldn't have chosen better. Ideal for being able to pop back to the hotel during the day to drop off our shopping or get warmed up (even in March Edinburgh was FREEZING!).
The breakfast was lovely and we were lucky enough to get a window seat every day with fantastic views of the city.
The room was clean, comfy and just the right size. We didn't have much of a view, unless air conditioning units and other windows are your thing, but at least this meant it was nice and quiet.
Hotel staff were friendly. I'd definitely choose to stay here again if I were to return to the city.

Used this hotel for a one night stopover. Was travelling alone and felt very safe and comfortable here. The staff were very friendly, the room was a single, clean and comfy. I had asked for a room with a view of the castle, which I got but was on the top floor where the rooms are recessed with a little veranda outside. This spoiled the view a little and therefore I couldn't take any photos, which had been my intention.
The hotel is situated very close to the train station and bus stop for the airport.
I really liked this hotel and would stay again when in Edinburgh.

The "New Town" location on Princes Street is difficult to beat, close to the railway station, on the airport bus line, and opposite fabulous gardens and museums with great views of Edinburgh Castle if you pay for one of the spacious rooms with a view. The view is well worth the money. Nothing like drawing the curtains in the morning to see the sun shining on the castle, or seeing the lit up castle at night as you relax in your room. The hotel is within walking distance of "Old Town" and the museums, and the nearby shops of "New Town."

The rooms and furnishings, which are no better than a roadside moderate-priced motel, definitely need to be updated. Not uncomfortable, but furniture, bed, etc., have seen better days. The restaurant food is average so fine for breakfast if its included but don't bother to eat lunch or dinner here when Edinburgh is at your door. I forget if the hotel has WIFI, but to print your boarding pass, there's only one computer that is sooooo sloooow. Staff is okay but don't expect them to go out of their way to help.

Brilliant hotel. Had a room on 5th floor with the most amazing views. Staff were lovely, really helpful, and let us leave our bags there before/after check-in. The hotel is a 2 minute walk away from the station. Twin room had everything we needed, and the breakfast was good-plenty of choice and great views from the restaurant. It is an excellent base for exploring a beautiful city, and we will definately be back.
