We have just stayed at the Scotsman for the fourth time and, once again, have had a wonderful stay. The whole hotel ouzes charm and character and the staff are, on the whole, welcoming, competent and helpful. Every room is completely different, with change of view, layout, amenities, but all with great atmosphere and character. Silly little niggle, this time there was a lack of both pen and notepad in our room, an oversight that shouldn't occur in an hotel of this calibre.
The location is brilliant for walking to almost anywhere in the city and the public car parking charges are reduced by the hotel (pity that the spaces closer to the hotel are no longer available, it makes for more of a hike!).
Breakfast is terrific, and the North Bridge Brasserie, within the hotel, looks good for other meals, we have only had tea there.More
