Myself and my husband were staying at the travelodge shandwick place, we called in this little gem of a place, we ordered an onion salad with chuckneys and Poppadoms, for our mains we ordered 2 currys 1 vegetable rice 1 fries, 1 nan and 4 beers, this all came to £47.00 what a deal, when you get your curry they bring out a small stove which sits on yr table to keep the curry hot, i got to say this curry was the best curry i'v had by far and the whole experience of this fine restaurant from the service to the food and also the layout and deco is second to none. i will be eating hear again !!!

“Good Service”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

Staff here are very friendly and the portion sizes are generous. Quite expensive - but I was here on a deal monster voucher which made it very good value. Not the best Indian food I've had, but better than most in Edinburgh.

“Good quality Indian at reasonable price.”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

Went for a curry with my partner on New Years Day 2013. Fairly quiet, good service. Curry was good quality. Had Chicken Pathia (hot) and garlic chilli chicken. Meat was good, not too dry. Sauce was well flavoured. £45 for Poppadoms, 2 mains, Naans, rice and 2 large beers. Compared to my benchmark curry house in Derby (Spice Lounge) this place was ok, would recommend but probably not visit again. Not because it was bad, but nothing special to bring us back.

“Great Indian Restaurant”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

We had dinner there today and the food was great. The staff were very nice and helpful (Raqeeb, Muneeb and his father and Pervez Munawwar especially). Have the lamb with green spices. The homemade ice creams were delicious!
