The Bruntsfield Hotel is an extremely well-run hotel with very helpful staff.

The hotel is located in a very pleasant area of Edinburgh with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The city center is easily reached by bus, or even by foot.

My wife and I stayed at the Best Western Bruntsfield for two nights in October. Good location across from the Meadows, within walking distance from central Edinburgh. Rooms are large, clean and well appointed. Breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Yes, there are fancier hotels but this one is nice and good value for the money. If you like to walk a bit, a pleasant single mile to "old town" mostly through park and college campus. The restaurant was outstanding.

I stayed here and I found it very pleasant and all the staff very nice and helpful, I would definitely stay here again, the room was large and comfortable, breakfast gave you plenty of choice and was very nice.
It was about a 20 minute walk into town or you could get the number 23 bus to take you just before the royal mile or the number 16 to take you to princes street, the bus stop is just up from the hotel.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

A superb hotel overlooking The Meadows and in walking distance of the castle and Princes St. I've stayed here on a number off occasions and have never been disappointed. This is an old Edinburgh building so expect creaky floorboards and winding corridors. That said, the rooms and facilities are modern and well equipped. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is excellent.
