Well positioned hotel; out of town but right next to bus stop with easy bus route and you can walk from here if you like walking. We walked to the Castle and then on into the town.
Very nice clean room, modern decor and we had a view of the park.
Nice bar area where we had a tasty meal. Very good collection of single malt whiskeys which were relatively cheap (£3.60) and the staff were knowledgeable and helpful in discussing and selecting different brands.
Breakfast was excellent; large choice, beautifully cooked, included porridge and great selection of cooked items including haggis.
Good base for exploring the city...

Lovely hotel well maintained, with friendly staff. Modern, welcoming bar area attached to the hotel. Breakfast nicely presented and served very efficiently. Bedroom was clean and warm with usual facilities pertinent to the Best Western brand. I would say a good walk to the centre of Edinburgh but not more than 30 minutes. Would thoroughly recommend for a short break.

Great from moment of booking to leaving, staff very helpful. We had a four poster room as it was my (biggish!) birthday. Lovely room with original coving, extremely high ceilings and windows with peaceful view, great big bathroom with separate bath and shower. Very clean hotel, lovely comfortable beds. 15-20 minute stroll through park into centre of Edinburgh so great location and felt safe walking back at night. Breakfast was lovely, didn't eat there at night but looked good. Parking limited but we didn't have a problem getting a space on a Friday afternoon. On arriving home we discovered we had left some clothing in a drawer and they kindly posted them back to us. We will definitely stay here again and are planning to return next year as we didn't get to do everything we wanted to!

Room Tip: Four poster room lovely and worth that little bit extra

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Bruntsfield Best Western Hotel for three nights, experiencing the breakfast and dinner menus, multiple conversations with staff members and drinks at the bar. I can honestly say I can't fault a thing.

The room was spacious and clean. The food was tasty and good value. The staff was polite and helpful.

Overall, an enjoyable experience that I hope to repeat very soon.

Nice hotel, friendly staff in a great location near the centre of Edinburgh. My room was perfectly fine and well equipped. Minor gripe however is that the parking is fairly limited and when I arrived at about 6pm the only space available was a disabled spot which to be fair the hotel allowed me to park in. If you are taking a car, you may have a problem if you turn up and the car park is full as the surrounding residental streets are chocker. That apart no problem recommending this hotel

Dear Rheindahlen

Thank you for your review following your stay with us. I'm pleased that you enjoyed your stay and found the hotel comfortable but note your comment about our car parking. Free parking at city centre hotels is rare however we are lucky to the the closest hotel in Edinburgh to the heart of the city with free parking. We find that 26 spaces for our 67 bedrooms is normally sufficient as not all our guests arrive by car. Our staff will always assist every guest to park their car, even if it is a temporary parking space until a permanent space becomes available. Thank you for your constructive comment and we will ensure that we continue to manage our parking for the satisfaction of all guests.

Your sincerely

Fantastic hotel in a prime location with fantastic staff who are friendly/courtieous and recognised us on our second visit to the hotel. The hotel was spotlessly clean and and our room was cosy and equipped with tea/coffee facility which all made for a perfect stay. Beds too are really comfortable. Thank you for another wonderful stay. We will be back again.

My first visit was back in November, I was made to feel so welcome & at home at this hotel that it is now my first choice every time I visit Edinburgh. The rooms are very spacious and the decor is of a high standard, not the usual straight lines & neutral colours you find in some of the modern hotels. The restaurant & bar staff was helpful & friendly, the overall experience was one to make my stay there a very pleasant one.
