“Really intriguing, worth your while”
Reviewed June 9, 2014

After finally convincing my girlfriend we should go, we embarked on a bus in the rain. It was great to get out of the city and see more of the countryside. Both of the staff were very enthusiastic and really fun, I really enjoyed it. Plus it was really mysterious. Make sure you go, it's worth the money -- especially because it's not much money.

“Do it”
Reviewed June 5, 2014 via mobile

Easy to reach by bus from the city centre the directions from Margaret Anne had us at the unassuming entrance with no hassle at all. The tour was informative and entertaining and we were given time to explore on our own as well. It is an amazing site combining the feel of roman catacombs and 18th century Hellfire Club!! Plenty to fill the imagination with whether it's history or mystery you're after!! I'd go again.

“Excellent must do! So cheap!!”
Reviewed June 5, 2014 via mobile

Can't believe how cheap this was for the length if time and information you get given in return.
Fantastic side tour outside if Edinburgh. Really really interesting and not at all gimmicky or cliched up in any way. Small group size.
We had car, but the bus is really easy to get to it too.
Probably only thing was the outside wasn't very well signed and we walked past it before figuring that out.
If it's been raining, prepare to get wet feet.

“Off beat...Totally worth it”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

Caves below the city. This itself is enough to get going. A mysterious cave and spooky tales: a beautiful combo. We were running a little late, but made a run to this place to joint the last tour of the day and it was totally worth it. Margaret Anne wonderfully tells the history room by room. Even after the tour we got some leisure space to wander on our own and take pics.
Truly enjoyed it...
Have a great tour...cheers

“A mysterious gem”
Reviewed June 2, 2014

Visited recently for the second time and was once again enthralled by these mysterious caves. A well paced and informative tour from our hostess, Margaret-Anne, helped to keep things interesting. It really is worth a visit; whether you are a local (the kids will LOVE it) or a visitor to Edinburgh you should make the effort to see these fascinating and still unexplained caverns. I have never been anywhere like it and you can't genuinely say that very often these days can you??
