Quickly through the security with no fuss. The whole place is cleary marked to find your way around. We hadn't time for a tour, so had to do our own whistle stop tour, shame, it was very interesting. Lockers provided to leave bags and coats, good one!

An interesting visit. We turned up on the off chance we could see some of the biulding. We went through a bag xray and then they told us the MPs were debating and tickets were available (free). We went to the see the debating and it was interesting. The staff were helpful and pleasant.

Worth walking to pass a museum, shops and "Mary Kings Close - arrive to view the landmark of Scottish democracy - Scottish Parliament and the Palace of Holyrood House. Parliament building with an upturned boat roof - exciting looking architecture.

Attended a debate on giving support to an African Country, This was an on the spur of the moment thing, tight security but made to feel welcome and able to see much from the public gallery. If you are interested in politics and the political process, it's well worth a visit
