You have to do the Royals Mile if you are visiting Glasgow. Unfortunately a million other people do it too. Lots of great architecture, quaint pubs and shops. It is a bit of a tourist trap but so what.

Started at the castle and walked down. Great views of the city from the castle, and numerous shops and pubs along the way. You could spend a couple days exploring the alleys and all the shops, pubs, and other attractions including the nearby museums. We happened to have a warm and sunny September day, and the streets were full of people. Several street performers including a couple guys playing bagpipes which completed the atmosphere.

The city was easy to walk and see most popular sites.
We tried a whiskey tasting, walked to the EDI castle, made up our own pub crawl from oldest pubs to most popular.
And we tried on and purchased a Kilt!
They were filming a movie there so we watched the
Set up for the scene. Fast and Furious 9!
Great trip!

Royal Mile is the happening place in Edinburgh with lots of shops and attractions on both sides of the road. Its good to have a walk along this Royal Mile really giving you everlasting memories for Edinburgh. While in Edinburgh, must go. eeing the royal mile for the first time from princes street, it looks like its painted on the background. It looks so amazing, you really fell like you have been transported to the 1800's. its great fun to walk along the mile and see all the old houses, churches and closes. lots of attractions on the street too, from the castle on one end and the palace on the other, there are so many places to see.

We totally enjoyed wandering up and down the Royal Mile, loads to see, and make sure you look down the small alleys. Highly Recommended.
