walked up and down the royal mile.. seemed like shops had the same souvenirs as everyone else. banks and atm available nearby. restaurants to choose from include outdoor seating. street performers are scattered throughout the area for entertainment

Strolled from the top at the caste down to the bottom at holyrood. Great way to start a trip to Edinburgh as you find your bearings quickly.

The Walk from the Castle to Palace is called the Royal Mile !

Full of cafes, street performers , whisky shops , pubs , souvenir shops.

Part of the old town.

From the castle down to Hollyrood House and the Scottish Parliament, a busy bustling ‘high street’ with pubs, cafes, gift shops and buskers, a very enjoyable stroll

We visited the Royal Mile on a Sunday morning it was full of tourists from all over the world enjoying the history and the atmosphere of the famous street well worth seeing.
