Edinburgh's old town is just as lovely as its people. A walk from the house of the Parliament up to the castle is quite advisable. Lots of small shops, museums and nice restaurants.

This town is really spectacular. Something else! The old town has so much beauty and history - and all old buildings. Love that there is no Gherkin eyesore like London! You can also feel how Harry Potter was so influenced by Edinburgh itself.

High Street and 3 other streets attached for a mile-long walk from the Fort to the Holyrood Castle. It is lined with souvenir stores and interesting spots to eat. It is crowded, loud, and lively.

Lovely buildings around the old town area, and streetscapes. Definitely a feeling of it only being inhabited by tourists and the shops reflected that to the nth degree. We enjoyed our stroll but would not allocate much more time to it. The Whisky Experience restaurant was surprisingly good.
