the gardens were very clean and tidy .A good quite place too have a picknic lunch.take care if in a wheelchair ao mobility scooter long footpaths along the gardens but no ramps at both ends so you have to go all the way back to change levels and some of the paths are very steep

We turned up and we did not plan to join the santa's walk/run the gardens. It was worth it. I will be there again this year.

These are situated below the castle which sits on a n extremely old ancient and extinct volcano. The gardens are so very beautiful and very well tended, year round. Going east from the West End of the Gardens you'll discover a floral clock and the lock works - - this is planted with many different kinds of plants, etc. each Spring.

Princess Street Gardens is a really great place for a peaceful, relaxing walk. The gardens are well kept & there are loads of benches to sit down on if you want to chill out for a while. Princess Street is right across from it & there is a fantastic view of Edinburgh Castle up on the hill from anywhere in the gardens.

I was lucky enough to visit between Christmas and New Years when the Christmas Markets were still up and running. The Markets lit up at night with various viewpoints of the gardens available. Beautiful gardens and great fun at the markets with plenty to see, do and buy.
