Very conveniently located just next to Princes Street. The view there of the Edinburgh Castle is wonderful especially near the fountain. You can see some squirrels in the garden and this may be fun for young children especially for us coming from places where you seldom see them around

Not much to say except the place was having nice scenic beauty... if you are a nature lover then its definately a good place to be there.Nice views ... there are a few monuments to see nearby the place & it runs along the princess street.

Good place to relax after a tiring day walking around the city. Enjoyed the breeze and beauty of the gardens.

These gardens are very similar to Union Terrace Gardens in Aberdeen but rather than waste time and money arguing about raising them to ground level, Edinburgh celebrate their green space in the heart of the city centre and promote them as a tourist location. These gardens are busy at all times of the year. Aberdeen should learn from Edinburgh Council and seek advice on how to utilise UTG effectively. A great haven from a busy Princes Street.

I loved going to the garden on previous visits and this was no exception! We enjoyed snapping pics of the beautifully worded memorial benches...touching! the tame squirrels were a bonus as they let us feed them!
