“Great day out”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

Fascinating insight into how the 'other half' had their short breaks.
Well worth the entrance fee - make sure you leave time for tea and scones served in the traditional style.

We are delighted you found Britannia to be such good value for money. Lovely to hear that the Tea Room was such a highlight for you too – it really is a treat with the waiter service, food made fresh in the galley and great views over the Forth. Thank you for visiting and awarding Britannia with five stars on TripAdvisor.

“This is a must do.”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

This is one of the best attractions I have ever been to see. I guess it's because I remember this boat from childhood and who would have ever believed it would be possible to walk the very same decks, carpets and walk ways as Her Royal Highness. Great value for money and even the on board tea shop is well priced. I am really pleased to have been there.

“Excellent day out”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

This is a good day out for not just family and couples but also allows people with disability to enjoy a full day out with access to all areas.
Only strange thing about the Royal Yacht Brotannia is that you enter through the the Ocean terminal shopping mall, entrance is on second floor, but lifts are available.

“Great way to spend a couple of hours”
Reviewed April 2, 2013 via mobile

We visited HMY Britannia as my girlfriend is fascinated by the Royal Family and saw the ship in its final year of service.
It is docked next to a shopping centre in Leith just 10 minutes from the city centre. The parking is free and easy to find. The admission fee was very fair and by the end proved great value.
The attraction provides an audio headset which guides you around the ship. Even before stepping on board we were fascinated. The whole tour was great...slightly cramped in some places but that's expected. We didn't try the tearooms but did buy some fudge from the naafi shop made on board the ship.
Great couple of hours definitely recommend a visit.

Fantastic to hear that you found your visit to be such great value for money. There really is some fantastic information for other visitors here too. As you mention, Britannia is a ten minute drive or a 15 minute bus ride from Edinburgh city centre – with plenty of free parking at Ocean Terminal. Many thanks for visiting and for your kind recommendation.
