“Fascinating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

First impressions were underwhelming, being dwarfed by the shopping centre next to it, the Royal Yacht didn't look as big or grand as we expected. But the further we got into the visit the more impressed we were. Really interesting to see conditions on board for both the crew and the Royals, remarkably low key until you get to the State Dining Room which definitely is a 'wow' moment. Thoroughly enjoyable and the audio handset is invaluable. Great value for money, just a pity it isn't somewhere a bit more picturesque.

We are delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your visit and how interesting you found the audio tour – it sounds like the State Dining Room was a real highlight for you. Many of our visitors are surprised that the entrance to Britannia is via Ocean Terminal shopping centre - this allows for greater accessibility for people of all ages and abilities. Many thanks for your five-star review.

It really means a lot that you say Britannia was the perfect day out – thank you. Fantastic to hear that the Tea Room was such a highlight for you too – it really is a treat with the waiter service, food made fresh in the galley and views across the Forth. Many thanks for your five-star review.

“First Class Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

Fantastic value for money experience. The staff were very friendly and informative. The yacht was amazing I felt I was back in the 60's you could just image and picture the royals sitting in the chinz lounge and taking dinner in the fabulous dining room. A glass of bubbly and sandwich in the tea room brought me back to 2000's served by smart friendly staff. Would highly recommend this attraction if you visit Edinburgh.

It really means a lot to us that you should describe your visit to Britannia as being excellent value for money. The fudge from the NAAFI is a favourite among the team here too – it is delicious and all made on board in the Galley. We do hope you will apply for your free Annual Pass which enables you to visit as many times as you like over the next 12 months (with 15% off in the Tea Room and Gift Shop). Many thanks for visiting and posting your kind review.

“I never actually expected to set foot abourd”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

It was far more perfect than I had expected. I ad seen it before and looked at it from a dock when Charles and Diana had it in Canada. It was like taking a stroll through history. Fascinating. I am so glad they decided to keep it afloat and give public access!!
