“A Must-See.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

What to say? Just take the trip and enjoy and be educated. You don't have to be British to appreciate the elegance and taste of this unique ship. And the Port of Leith has done a fabulous job of presentation.

Fantastic to see you describe Britannia as a must-see, Patrick. I am glad you enjoyed discovering Britannia’s five decks – it is fascinating to see the contrast between the State Apartments and Crew’s Quarters. Thank you for visiting and supporting the work of The Royal Yacht Britannia Trust.

“A surprisingly fabulous attraction”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

I've now been here over 15 times! Every time a friend comes to stay I drag them off to the Royal Yacht. I love how immaculate the engine room still is, and the information headsets that you can get with your tour are really fascinating. You can easily spend 3 hours here.

“Fantastic day out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

We were fortunate to get a really hot day to board the Royal Britannia. It was a really informative and interesting tour. I think because the Royal Britannia was used by the Royals in our lifetime it made it all that more interesting and it was exciting to stand where they once did. We decided to have afternoon tea aboard the ship and it was delicious.

It is incredible to think about whose footsteps you are following in as you step on board, Sarah. It is lovely to hear how much you enjoyed your experience at Britannia and it sounds like the Royal Deck Tea Room was a highlight too. Many thanks for your five-star review.

“Good to see!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

If you've got the time in your travels and have an interest in royalty then you should be seeing this. The self-guided tour is nice, taking your time where you please and skipping those things that you may not be as interested in. Also having the tea room on board is a nice touch. Staff are also friendly and helpful.

I am glad you enjoyed the whole experience, Jordan, from the audio tour to the Royal Deck Tea Room. As you say, it is lovely to go at your own pace around Britannia’s five decks with the audio handset. Many thanks for visiting while you were in Edinburgh.

“Informative, family friendly attraction”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

This was a good day out even better as we used tesco clubcard vouchers to pay. You are given an audio handset ( different ones for kids - a bit more fun) and you press the number of the room/area you are in and listen to the info about it. Free parking in the adjacent shopping centre. Very interesting for both adults and children to learn the history of this ship.

Lovely to hear the whole family had such a great day out at Britannia. The special version of the audio handset for children is great for keeping them entertained. Many thanks for taking the time to post your review.
