Good service, very fresh food, the chutneys were homemade and delicious. My partner had a king prawn dish and they were absolutely huge and very juicy. The cocktails were also lovely (although very strong)

“Consistently Excellent”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

Indaba is somewhere to go when you want to eat really good food, it's that simple.

The restaurant is not festooned with fancy furnishings or pre occupied with style.
This place is all about food and the food is quite simply fantastic.

No doubt there will be the occasional dish ordered that may not meet expectations, however generally the tapas menu and 'daily specials' more than meet the standard of their respective descriptions.

some restaurants seduce you with their environment in a way that may influence your opinion of the cuisine.
Indaba is functionally very simple , here the food does all the talking and it has more to say than many fancier establishments and at a fraction of the price!

Staff are friendly and informative , the guy that runs the place is clearly respected and takes pride in his business.
Book a table as it always busy , you are unlikely to have a negative experience.

Indaba is A genuine Gem in a city full of costume Jewellery.

“As good as it gets!”
Reviewed April 1, 2013 via mobile

Awesome food, excellent find and well worth a visit! The chocolate fondant dessert is a must! Sublime!
Only downside was the courgette and feta tapas - didn't really go well! The chorizo in cider and onion were amazing though!
Overall excellent - would return!

“A mixed bag of food that won't stop me going back”
Reviewed April 1, 2013 via mobile

Going to a tapas bar you are eating a lot of dishes. At this one you'll find a mix if outstanding, average and poor. There is an opportunity to try something different here and you might not be dissapointed. Despite some dishes being poor I have been several times and will go again. And don't over order as desserts are great.

“Yummy and good value”
Reviewed March 31, 2013 via mobile

This place offers excellent value. Some dishes were devine, a couple average/ okay (personal preference I suppose). Overall, loved the experience. The desserts were so delicious, save room for these!! This was our favorite place of all the food places we went to in Edinburgh.
