“Delicious Thai fusion seafood!!!”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

Had forgotten this cheeky little Thai restaurant in Edinburgh's newhaven area, won't make that mistake again. Had a truly wonderful tasty meal last night - particular mention for the u5 prawn main dish, flavours galore and more than the suggested average 3 per dish. The restaurant may nit look like much from outside, however inside the smells and flavours are just amazing! Scallops with black pudding, dumplings, the prawns - we will definitely be back!!! Excellent service too from the 2 waiting staff.

“One to visit!”
Reviewed September 19, 2012 via mobile

Lovely little restaurant that has never failed to deliver over a number of visits. Friendly service, great menu choice, excellent quality food, reasonable prices. The scallops and black pudding starter was simply outstanding. Only one little comment, the wine could have been a bit colder. Still, Undoubtedly our local favourite.

“Excellent, excellent food”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

Ate here recently for a family birthday - we all totally loved it!

The food is really exceptional quality, and very creative. The menu is a combination of traditional thai dishes and fusion dishes. Our party of four chose a combination of the two for starters and mains and we were blown away with the quality. Definitely the best thai food I have eaten.

It's a cosy little restaurant with maybe 20 covers, so atmosphere was on the quiet side when we arrived, but as it fills up the place becomes very relaxing. It occupies a really nice spot on the seafront and appears very unassuming as you approach.

Welcome from the staff was warm, and service throughout was attentive without being intrusive, warm and genuine. They clearly want you to enjoy yourself.

I can't fault a thing, and would really highly recommend this place. Would definitely return

“Loch Fyne or Port of Siam?..”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

Spur of the moment decision, Loch Fyne or Port of Siam?

Definitely made the right choice in Port of Siam. Staff were very attentive and polite, nothing was too much of a problem.

Compact and bijou restaurant with a lovely friendly atmosphere. Fantastic choice of food all endorsed by the very knowledgeable staff.

Scallops and black pudding was excellent, best I've ever had, pork dumplings a real treat. Seabass....what can I say, it literally melted in your mouth and the tempura squid accomplement was exquisite. All topped of with a fabulously fragrant sauce and sticky rice. My partner order sizzling duck and boy did it sizzle, a hot plate of succulent duck breast served with cashews and vegetables accompanied with a selection of noodles and bean sprouts.

Definitely very please we choose the Port of Siam in favour of the Loch Fyne, having read the reviews only after visiting the restaurant the Port of Siam definitely came out on top.

I'd recommend this lovely little secret in Newhaven to anyone who is looking for quality food in a very relaxed and comfortable environment. Due to the compact nature of the restaurant I'd be sure to book rather than just turn up, we were very fortunate and lucky to get a table without a booking, even on a Sunday evening all tables were prebooked from 7.30pm.

“Amazing food and night of libation!”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

The food and service at Port of Siam are amazing! I was visiting my partner last week and we went to Port of Siam for a birthday dinner one night and the entire experience was just utterly incredible! The ambiance was perfect and the food was perfection! It was the perfect blend of Thai spice and seafood in a sanctuary along the coastline on Edinburgh.
