Frequently enjoy it as a gay but straight friendly pub. Recently enjoyed food thre for the first time. Good menu, very inexpensive but high quality. Fast service. Highly recommend it. Great place for people watching too and the music is very good. On warm day there's lots of competition for the tables outside !

Myself & my Partner popped in for drinks & tea. The food was reasonably priced & we was shocked at the standard of the food when it came out. The food was delicious, my Partner had a burger & it was very thick! The food was red hot & freshly cooked - the Staff were friendly too. I would advise it!

I had a few kopperberg here with a friend, was a nice cosy bar overall. (I went in on a wednesday)
Shame about not being able to order more than 1 shot per person of sourz... probably because it was on offer!

Friendly staff good visit. Reccomended!

I find this pub could be more described as straight-friendly. It varies in my experience. As it so near the Playhouse Theatre and the Omni centre, there can be quite a straight crowd but that's never been a problem for me, who mainly sees it as a gay bar.

This is one of two gay bars I'd go into along with The Regent (A quieter, gay real ale pub) and there's also a good gay cafe called Nom de Plume.

At the Street you can get quality food, a great drinks selection, great DJ's and always good tunes. Upstairs is lively with good people watching opportunities, Downstairs is more of a party atmosphere later on, or often holds pub quizzes etc.

Would definitely recommend The Street as part of your night out.

For good tunes and a bar at the heart of Edinburgh's gay scene then look no further. The Street will provide you with the right mix of cool, topped with a dash of energy, shaken not stirred. Regular DJs feature here too, including Trendy Wendy, Lou, and Lizi Rascal, so expect to get involved in a great party when you visit The Street.

There's a small menu available for those of you that don't think eatin's cheatin'. And on a sunny day take a pew outside to watch the wild and wonderful world go by.
