Description: No matter where you are in Spain, a moments walk from the main tourist traps will almost always immerse you in the hustle and bustle of real Spanish life- busy bars and restaurants full of animated discussions conducted over fresh, homemade food. With this in mind, we selected our home of 19 Shore Place as the perfect venue to recreate this wonderful ambiance in Edinburgh.

Had a selection of 5 tapas- chorizo was to die for& the meatballs were great. Well impressed, defo will visit again. If you book online you can also get discount on the bill. Looking forward to visiting here again.

“Spontaneous excellent evening”

Visited Tapa as a spur decision and it could not have been any better. We received a very warm welcome from owner Daniel, the food was outstanding and great value. So much so, we skipped dessert in favour of more tapas! Will definitely be going back soon, good job Tapa!

“Hidden Gem?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2012

My friend and I paid an enjoyable visit to this Tapas eatery today (not too easy to find), but worth the effort. Using a voucher for 2 sharing 4 tapas dishes, dessert of churros and chocolate sauce and a glass of prosseco each was good. The surroundings are clean, simple and comfortable. The selection available to choose from was a little overwhelming, but the waiter guided us - thank you. We tried two of the usual dishes you expect and two new ones which were good. Particularly enjoyed the Roasted Goats Cheese topped with a Homemade Fig Compote. All in all it was a nice experience and we will return and partake of the Chef's Selection of Tapas for 2 for £10. One point - I know that chef's like to serve odd numbers (pleases the eye), but when sharing a dish of lovely large tiger prawns or lamb cutlets between two, the offer of odd numbers can cause ill-feeling. Perhaps male/female duos expect the male to have the lion's share still! Just a word in someone's ear - on some occasions two females may fight over the lion's share!!! LOL All in all well worth the visit. As it was busy on a Wednesday lunch time I would recommend making a booking on 0131 476 6776, check out their menu at www.tapaedinburgh.co.uk

“Excellent Food and Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2012

I've been to Tapa on two occasions in the last weeks and both times I have been completely satisfied. First time I came in for an early dinner with my friend and although we haven't booked we were shown to a very nice table. Staff were very friendly and efficient and the food was delicious! Second time I came in at lunch time and together with my friend decided to opt for the Chef's Selection (£10 for a sharing platter for 2) and it was spot on! Both of us enjoyed every dish from chorizo croquettes, aubergine crisps, garlic chicken to paella. Amazing value for money! It's a lovely intimate place with professional Staff and beautifully prepared food. Definitely recommend it for any occasion! The only little thing I would like to point out - the latte spoons could be a little longer, as it's difficult to stir the coffee with spoon shorter then the glass.
