“Luxury in Edinburgh”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2013

Spent four nights at the Fraser in Edinburgh in late March. The weather was dreadful but the hotel was our haven in the storm and a more central location we could not ask for. We had a junior suite on the sixth floor with a view of the reconstruction next door and also Princes St if we leaned out! The room was very well appointed and oh so comfortable. The mini kitchen was a welcome additon and the bathroom was large and well equipped. Loved the heated towel racks and the rainfall shower that you could turn on after the water temp was adjusted! We paid more for the room than we normally do but it was worth every penny. The staff were friendly, helpful and good natured and offered many tips that enhanced our tourist experience. It's a long way from our home in western Canada but like MacArthur we shall return!

Room Tip: Our room overlooked a reconstruction site which was fine by me - I like an active view!

Just had a two night stay at the Fraser Suites in Edinburgh for my mums 60th. We both had an amazing time. The rooms are perfect, so comfortable and beautifully decorated. No complaints only that we had to come back home :( the staff are exceptionally welcoming, not just at the hotel but the whole city. Really friendly people, very clean hotel, location is amazing, lots to see and do and situated in a fantastic location. Will be back for another break very soon. Thanks so much for all you did for us during our stay. You made mums birthday present one to truly remember:) x

Arrived for a 4 night stay having asked for a suite with a view as it was my birthday treat. We were extremely surprised to be told we had been upgraded to a deluxe suite (room 613). The view over Edinburgh was amazing with triple aspect windows in the lounge, a view towards the castle from the bathroom and down towards the Scott memorial from the bedroom. The weather was bitterly cold but it was no hardship to come back to our suite, make snacks in the well equipped kitchen area and choose which tv to watch!! The bed was wonderfully comfy and the bathroom first class with a great shower. We had the cooked breakfast each day which was fine although service was a little slow. One of the best points is the location of the hotel - it can't be faulted as it's so easy to walk to all the main attractions and the station. There are plenty of places to eat out and you can buy gorgeous cakes at nearby Patisserie Valerie. All the staff were friendly and professional and reception was very helpful in telling us about the bus to catch to the Royal Yacht. There is also plenty of info.on local attractions. I think this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in and would definately come again. THANK YOU Fraser Suites.

Room Tip: Always ask for a room with a good view especially if you are staying for a few nights

After arriving in Edinburgh after 30 hours travel what a welcome sight this hotel was. We had booked a junior suite so our room was on the 6th floor with a view of St Giles St and Princes St. Well appointed and the best bed! It was a freezing day so this warm haven just off the Royal Mile was much appreciated. Breakfast in the Bistro was average but a lovely setting and great staff made up for this. If you are coming to Edinburgh definitely consider this hotel.

We have just returned from a great 3 night stay at Fraser Suites. On check in we were greeted by a polite and friendly member of staff who told us that we had been upgraded and our room was ready for us despite it being early. A great start! The room was lovely, very clean apart from some stains on the carpet with a lovely bathroom. The location couldn't be better, just off the Royal Mile in easy walking distance from all the sights and shops. We chose to go to the little cafe next door for breakfast as we thought the prices at the hotel were a little steep. A clean lovely hotel which great customer service in a very good location, what more could you want, we will be back!

We stayed in Edinburgh during the Fringe in August. This was a great hotel to for our family. We had a two bedroom family suite that was very nice. We loved the full kitchen and spacious layout. The hotel was well located as a launching point to explore Edinburgh. The staff were excellent and very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay here.

We stayed for two night in Feb 2013. The room was a reasonable size and style for a basic room and the en-suite was also nice. It was clean and the maid service was good. Overall we had a lovely stay but the room was very hot, it did have a free standing fan which had to be left on all night - very odd for February with snow outside! The staff were mostly pleasant and accommodating but one or two were a little sharp. The breakfast was fine but basic and should have been included in the price. We would use this hotel again for sure.

Room Tip: Rooms on the higher floors are very hot!
