We eexpected much more dark stories abd more dark places, but in fact ut was just like a normal walk through the town with a little bit more "scary stories". We were on two graveyards but in fact we saw nothing there, just stood there and walked on after a few words. Would have loved to see more of the gravestones - the stoties could have been told anywhere
Most of all the tour is at night - what makes no sense, because the places we went to ( Nelson monument etc) can't be seen by night. If we wouldn't have been there before, we wouldn't have known what the guide wanted to show us.
Overall the tour was ok, the guide was nice but we wouldn't recommend it.

Greg was our tour guide for the free walking tour in Edinburgh. He was extremely knowledgeable, laid back and funny. His impressions and impersonations were light hearted and made the stories he was telling very interesting. He could appreciate how cold people were getting by 5.30 on a January evening so he kept the tour to approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, a good time to learn enough and not get too tired and cold. I would definitely recommend these tours, they are a great way to learn about Edinburgh's varied history, past and present.

We had Edgar as our guide and he was absolutely amazing. Funny, down to earth with an obvious passion for history (especially dark history). Edinburgh has an incredibly interesting history and the way that Edgar delivered the entire tour really brought everything together in a captivating way. It was really cold and wet (middle of Jan) but by the end of it no one really wanted to leave we were having such an amazing time. Couldn't recommend Edgar more. Next time I'm back I'll definitely be doing another tour taken by Edgar! Thank you!!!

We were lucky to have Greg give us a tour of Edinburgh. His passion, knowledge and the entertaining way that he delivered the tour was a highlight of the weekend. The half way stop for a loo/refreshment break was a great addition in comparison to other free walking tours.
