My personal recommendation would be the Africa wrap with extra aubergine! Absolutely delicious. The Sudanese coffee is delicious too.

Been here on numerous occasions for a wrap for lunch. The falafel wraps are so great. They are simply awesome. My go to place for flavour, freshness and spice. Great value aswell, 4.50 - 5.00, epic!

We spied this East African restaurant as we wandered around Edinburgh during the festival and having never tried this cuisine before we were eager to sample it. It was a BYOB restaurant (with no corkage) so we nipped to Tesco Metro around the corner and grabbed a bottle of wine to take in with us.

We were sat downstairs, brought two glasses and a menu each. Service was woefully slow and awfully haphazard. We watched with amusement and disbelief as other tables were asking for drinks they’d ordered and some of their starters were brought out. Another table requested menus having been already sat there for ages. Jugs of water were served without any glasses. I had to tap the waiter on back to get his attention before he rushed off upstairs.

That aside, the food was very flavoursome, but sadly not much of it. We ended up stopping for a cheeseburger on the way back to the train station! With a little more efficiency in the kitchen, a bit of waiting management and some touching-up to the careless decoration this would earn a very good review.

Some wonderful aubergine and okra based stews. If you want alcohol you have to bring your own bottle(s), but the Sudanese coffee and tea are amazing.

First of all, we all appreciated the BYOB. However, service is beyond questionable. Food was tasty, but not what we ordered. Service was slow at best (as others have noted - questionable and slow, but friendly), with it taking about 30 mins to even get our order. The server was wearing socks and flip flops which was a treat for the eye. Your best bet is to head to Beirut round the corner.
