Prince Street Suites is definitely the best hotel during our 14 days stay in UK and 6 days stay in Switzerland. We have booked a 2 double room suite.

The hotel is centrally situated. All rooms are large and have good view. Kitchen is modern. Decoration is agreeable. Internet is free and high-speed. Staff are very helpful.

And the rate is quite low compared with other hotels we stay in UK and Switzerland!
You can expect anything there!

I',m tempted not to write this, as I plan to use this place every time I'm in Edinburgh in the future. I have to say this was far and away the best place I've stayed in the capital, in Scotland, in the UK; and for the price, anywhere in the world!
There were six of us in a 3-bedded apartment and it did not disappoint.
The lounge was large and comfortable with modern furniture, a large flat-screen TV, DVD player and i-pod dock, plenty of comfortable seating, and a dining table and chairs. The kitchen was well-equipped, including a dishwashwer, and rhtere were a couple of dishwasher tablets left for us.
The bedrooms were large, with loads of wardrobe and drawer space, and each had a flat screen TV. One bedroom had an ensuite and there was a beautiful shower room off the hall. Both were well equipped with towels and good quality toiletries.
We used the roof terrace, which had fabulous vies over Calton Hill, Salisbury Crags and the city of Edinburgh.
To give you the negatives (for any nit-pickers):
There is no free parking anywhere near, and even off-street parking (a 10 minute walk) isn't cheap.
The views from our apartment were not great - over the road to the Apex hotel from the lounge, or over the railway station to the Old Town from the bedrooms.
Some previous guest(s) had stolen the hair-drier (the concierge supplied another one) and the remote control for the i-pod dock; and they had left a broken wine glass "hidden" among the others in the kitchen cupboard!
I see the next question is "would you recommend this hotel to a friend?" Can I say that I already have recommended it, , and we plan to book it again for a trip in November. We only stayed one night in July, but plan to stay 2 nights next time, as the apartment cost less than a meal at a good restaurant, and so we plan to buy in food next time!

We were very surprised about the size of the one bedroom we booked, It had 2 baths, full kitch and large living room. The staff were very helpful and the place was immaculate. I have posted a video of the room. Close to Arthur's Seat and town center.

You know the travel commercial where the honeymooners fling open the blinds expecting tropical breezes only to find a graveyard. Well, our view put a whole new spin on overlooking graveyards. This one was hundreds of years old with soot blacked stone ubiquitous in Edinburgh. Not completely in tact, the cemetary screams for you to investigate. Just wait until daylight though so you don't miss your step and plunge into the roof of the Waverly train station.
We walked in to our three-bedroom flat and thought we had gone to heaven after some of the quarters we had stayed in in London and beyond. We love modern decor so felt right at home. Don't expect the kitchen to be stocked. This is true self catering with a 24/7 desk clerk who is all too ready to lend a suggestion for dinner. Breakfast is just "over the road" where coffee is hot and tea is delicious. Step out the door and Edinburgh is at your fingertips. Or should I say footstep. Princes street is in shambles right now with repairs. The Royal mile is a five minute walk. Grab the umbrella and your Welles. The pipes are calling. Haggis anyone?

We were 2 couples staying in a 2 bedroom apartment. Next time, I'd choose the 3 bedroom because from what I saw when we went into one, it was sooooo much nicer! Even if we didn't use the 3rd bedroom, the space for 2 adult couples was more liveable. We were told we would have a washer/dryer...we didn't so they allowed us to enter another room to use the one there. Also, our dishwasher did not work. No big thing for vacation as who is doing dishes anyways...but those wine glasses and morning coffee cups. We loved the location, just down the street from the Edinburgh Tourist/Information Center. Also a convenience store right across the street. Parking was a problem and an added cost. BTW, the suite looked like all the furniture and accessories were purchased at IKEA. Not a problem, just an observation. (PS: No View from our room)

just like being at home really except with better views. i travelled with my folks and partner and the four of us were perfectly comfortable in our 2 bed apartment. brilliant location and awesome views from the roof top terrace. close to attractions too such as calton hill, princes street shopping, the castle etc.

the only moan i have is that there is a graveyard next to the building, which is fine on its own, but it is frequented by drunken good-for-nothings. a simple call to the blues will solve that problem!

If you are planning a trip and want to stay in a terrific location but not in a hotel, then I highly recommend this place. It is excellent value, so close to the centre its fantastic, the flats are well equipped. No down points at all.
