Had early evening meal with colleagues on a lighting trip to Edinburgh. We all started with haggis with a Drambuie, mustard and cream sauce with oat biscuits.........I wanted to dive into the plate. The haggis was soft, tasty and married with the sauce...it was pretty much perfect. For mains I went for Confit duck, with black pudding, mash and a redcurrant sauce. I loved it not only because it tasted fabulous, but due to the lashing of sauce which is usually lacking. My colleagues had the duck again, and another had the lamb which was again pretty much divine. Good food great hosts, lovely surroundings, would visit again.
