“Divine!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2013

Had early evening meal with colleagues on a lighting trip to Edinburgh. We all started with haggis with a Drambuie, mustard and cream sauce with oat biscuits.........I wanted to dive into the plate. The haggis was soft, tasty and married with the sauce...it was pretty much perfect. For mains I went for Confit duck, with black pudding, mash and a redcurrant sauce. I loved it not only because it tasted fabulous, but due to the lashing of sauce which is usually lacking. My colleagues had the duck again, and another had the lamb which was again pretty much divine. Good food great hosts, lovely surroundings, would visit again.

“Really good steak!!!”

Went here last saturday for our Annversary meal. Booked almost a week in advance and managed to grab a late table so booking is recommended. Really Enjoyed our steaks and the place was small and cosy

“Could be so much better without effort.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013

Had lunch here on a recent visit to the city. Steak was nothing special and the knife was terrible. They could do with investing in some decent steak knifes that can cut meat rather than hack like a saw blade. The chips were poor and frozen and it would be so easy to make fresh ones, as many people expect. Service was good and quick. I would give this place 6/10. it could so easy be a 9/10

“What a gem!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013

Dined here the night after Edinburgh's Street Party. What a fabulous little restaurant this is! It is located in City Centre, close to lots of bars and other restaurants and quite easy to find. It is quite small but has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. It has a small menu - Steaks & Fish but this makes ordering very easy and the food is first class. We all had steaks all served with a lovely salad and fries, just what we needed after the night before. The steaks were cooked to perfection Staff are frendly and helpful. Excellent food, great service and all at a good price - don't miss this place
