We stay here often as it is convenient for visiting family. Buses for the town centre stop outside and are frequent(except for Sunday when they are every half an hour).
Rooms are simple and clean. It's not luxury, but fine for the price.
Full Scottish breakfast was freshly cooked to order and tasty. Yoghurts, cereals and fruit were also available.
We will be happy to stay again.

Stayed here for one night whilst attending a family funeral. We also held the wake in the hotel and the staff coudn't have done any more to make sure that everything went well. There was ample well-filled sandwiches as well as a selection of cakes and biscuits. The coffee pots were continually filled up.
After the wake had finished I was shown to my room. Despite only requesting a single room I was upgraded to a double room at no extra charge - a nice touch. The room was spacious, clean and was very warm which was appreciated, as despite it being a sunny day when the sun went down it was quite cold. The room also had free wi-fi, which had a fast connection. Another nice touch. The bathroom was a bit dated but more tham met my needs.
I also dined in restaurant at night with other members of my family and again the service and food was excellent.
After a good nights sleep, and a few drinks in memory of my late aunt, the cooked breakfast was much appreciated. It is my intention to return in the summer and look forward to staying here again.

Stayed here with friends on Dec 30th as we were going to see The Lion King. Great wee hotel on the outskirts of the city, only 15 mins by bus which stops right outside the hotel. The rooms were perfect and really clean, beds were really comfy and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was first class. Cant wait to go back.

Stayed here for 3 nights during our trip around the UK. Friendly staff, the gentleman who does the breakfast and who lives on site is so lovely (richard?). Breakfast was fast and generous also had dinner here one night - huge serving of fish and chips which was delicious and my husband had a burger which he loved. There is a bar downstairs which was handy as it was freezing outside we were able to have a coupe of drinks in the warmth and met some locals. Location was great there was a bus stop out front but we drove into the city. Nice big room, only bad thing can say was the bed could have been more comfortable, but apart from that loved it!

We have just arrived back home after a long weekend in Edinburgh staying at the Northfiels House Hotel. A fantastic experience. They only have 4 berooms (so book early!). Very comfortable and friendly.
Rooms are good size and well equipped. Full Scottish breakfast in the morning and a great restaurant in the evening complete with a full bar.
We were worried about access into Edinburgh itself as the hotel is 5 km outside the city centre. We need not have worried! Number 31 bus stopps directly in fromt of the hotel and takes 20 minutes to the city centre for 1.50. Night buses run all night as well if you want to stay in town a bit later.
Value for money.......unbelievable!! I'll be back!

We stayed in the Northfield House Hotel for one night. Our stay was great! Checking in was really easy and the room we got was really beautiful with a lot of space! The location of the hotel is great if you want to visit Edinburgh. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel, which is great! The staff was really friendly and enthusiastic! Breakfast was simple but good. All in one, we had a great stay!!
