Great experience. We actually couldn’t find the bar at first glance, then when we finally came back to look again it was pretty obvious.... a great idea with brilliant cocktails.

Absolutely loved it here, after we found it! I really really enjoy the concept of these hidden 1920’s speakeasy’s. From the knocking on the door, the period decor and the strong and short drinks. It’s well worth a visit if you’re in Edinburgh!

This bar was out of the way and quiet, quirky and we loved the menus tucked away in detective envelopes.
I must admit the shared toilets are not ideal and we only stayed for the one drink as it is pricey but it's a cosy and chilled atmosphere.
If your budget is high enough they also have some very old and expensive whiskeys..no fear if not the waitress will recommend a cocktail for you. They also make sure you are topped up with water which is much needed! We had a lovely time!

On a windy Wednesday night I was the only patron in this bar and I had a brilliant time! David and Elliot (sorry if I've got names wrong!) were friendly and entertaining. I never actually had any drinks from the menu, instead they asked me what I liked spirits, flavors, etc and came up with some brilliant concoctions. The bar has an old speakeasy vibe and the drinks match. Short but strong! This bar won't be for everyone but they do the concept well in my opinion and I will be recommending to others who appreciate a good cocktail.

It's situated up dirty rubbish invested back road. The door is made to 'look' old with no name on it and locked. You knock to be let in ( i think this is supposed to enhance the experience) You are not allowed to stand, so have to wait... on a waiting list for a table! the placed only has about 10 /12 small tables. An incredibly rude waitress takes your order from the table, from a silly menu ( in an envelope.. more mystique!) However, don't dare ask for anything that contains 'perishables' for example a bloody Mary! They don't serve drinks with 'perishables'
All in all it's a very small dark bar, that I found scruffy with a surly waitress, the cost for 2 single gin and tonics ( without any perishables £10.00.
not worth going to this silly gimmick of a bar. I can see how some may think it's good but it really is not worth the effort.

The bar is disguised as an old fashion detective agency and you need to knock on the door to get in. Small bar inside with dim lights and cosy atmosphere. The cocktails are good but very small for the price. There is no beer available.
