Lived in Edinburgh all my life and this is the first venture to the City Restaurant and will not be my last. Granted this is not a bistro or Michelin star the food menu is comfort food, chippy style but a lot nicer and presented well. Ordered the fried pizza and partner ordered a few sides. Food arrived promptly but it feel as if it had just been cooked and not left lying around. Service was dead friendly and restaurant was really busy but I never waited long for anything ordered. when they got our order slightly wrong, they rectified it really quickly. Nice place for a quick meal in between festival shows.
