Description: Bisque is fast gaining a reputation as one of the best restaurants in Edinburgh. Bisque is the stylish new bar and brasserie located in the Bruntsfield area of Edinburgh. Situated overlooking Bruntsfield Links park, the restaurant, bar and brasserie can be found just a few minutes walk from the Kings Theatre. We're here to serve you from early to late every day. Get what you want, when you want it at a pace to suit you. Judging by some of our customer reviews, Bisque is already one of peoples' favourite Edinburgh restaurants and places to dine with family or friends. Bisque offers a varied menu of light dishes to a full menu. The restaurant is contemporary in style and offers seasonal menus of locally sourced food. We also have a great kids menu on offer for those looking for a more family friendly restaurant. Looking for an Edinburgh bar with a difference? Want to relax? Well you'll feel at home in our comfortable booths relaxing with the newspapers or watching the latest Sports on widescreen TV. We've even got free wireless internet and a well stocked bar with beers and wines from all the main regions. Drop in and chill out.

“A great family Sunday lunch”

We visited the restaurant for a family meal for 6 adults and a one year old. The staff were amazing and really accommodating for the 1 year old. The food was amazing as always. It's a great place to eat and relax.

“Everything in one basket!!”
Reviewed January 26, 2013 via mobile

This is my second review for bisque. As I said in the title, it does everything breakfasts, lunches, dinners, not forgetting the sunday roasts. Me and my mates normally come during the weekend, have a nice relaxed breakfast and watch the sport. The nacho shareplates are perfect for a group, and the bar staff are excellent, in food and drink knowlege. The only slight down side has to be the music. I mentioned this last time, and since then we have enjoyed listening to old track favourites, including the old ninties hits they played on sunday afternoons. But since the start of 2013, its seems to fancy itself as a jazz bar.
But on the whole, if you can ignore the female jazz songs, this is a great place what ever the season.

“Delicious Food and a Lovely Atmosphere”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

My partner and I visited the Bisque Brasserie restaurant mid-December last year and had a fantastic experience. The food was very reasonably priced, especially considering the size of the portions; and the staff were friendly and catered to our needs with professionalism. The setting was also appropriate for the type of couples meal we wanted to enjoy.

I would recommended this restaurant to couples, individuals and families alike. Overall a very enjoy enjoyable experience that I hope to repeat soon!

“Quick snack on New Year's Day”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

Not the best day to go out for a meal but we had come up to Edinburgh to see the festive lights and needed refueling before going home. With all the road closures, diversions, and difficulty to find parking, i remembered the Bruntsfield Hotel and thought it might be open and able to supply a quick snack to keep us going.

We had the Light Menu i.e. soup and sandwiches, the butternut squash soup was tasty, all the sandwiches - chicken blt, ham, croque madame and vegetarian open sandwich - were fine, good sized portions. The fries were slightly refried but other than that nothing to complain about. Service was fine.

The atmosphere in the bar was a bit lacking but it's a funny day to visit and i can imagine it very busy on other occasions.

“Great christmas meal”
Reviewed December 17, 2012

This the second year that my friends and I have ate here for our christmas lunch and we were once again not disappointed. Food was excellent and a good choice for a Christmas menu. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the sticky toffee pudding did not disappoint. Staff were great and never felt they were rushing us which was appreciated being 6 females who hadn't seen each other in a while !! Great value for money.
