Castle was exactly as described. Warmer than we expected! Fantastically well equipped kitchen. We had a very large family group and everyone was more than comfortable. Can't recommend the castle enough. Steeped in history but with enough modern facilities. We are already planning a return visit!
I have recently stayed at Craufurdland Castle Tower House with my family to celebrate my 60th Birthday. It was a great weekend the Tower was warm and had a lovely log fire in lounge, very comfortable bedrooms some extra special, liked roll top bath at window ! a very well equipped kitchen and we had a fab meal in the lovely dining room plenty of space for the 14 of us. It was snowy when we were there and we had great walks by the river and a spooky night time walk ! The Tower is impressive but has a relaxed lived in feel so we all felt chilled out, I would recommend the Tower for a weekend away from busy lives. Thanks Adity and Simon hopefully we will visit again in the future.

The weekend break was booked to celebrate my husband and Dad's birthday, so I wanted something a bit special. I definitely wasn't disappointed.
An ancient historical castle which the owners have renovated to a high standard provided us with everything we needed, considering there was 14 people aged 15 to 77 + 2 dogs this was no easy task.
Adity & Simon's friendliness and kindness added that extra special touch which made the break more memorable for us all.
We will all remember our holiday for a long time, and will definitely be recommending to friends.
Superb authentic castle with character bedrooms, some quirky but all with their own history. Simon the laird and his wife Adity - the lady laird are proud of their heritage and made us so welcome. We hired the Castle for 4 nights to celebrate my 60th birthday and celebrated the occasion by arranging storytelling with harpist, a ceilidh, and wine tasting . On my actual birthday we had a formal meal in the dining room with family and close friends seated around the large oak table being " watched over" by the Craufurdland ancestors. A piper and dancers completed the perfect evening with piper leading us down the impressive staircase and into our meal. Local caterers Wine and Dine provided first class cuisine accompanied by a friendly professional service..
Very highly recommended
This castle is an amazing place to celebrate a special occasion. Simon and Adity make you feel like you are actually the owners and keepers ofthe castle for your stay. The location does also give you access to Kilmarnock in 10 mins and Glasgow. Simons tour is a must if you get the chance. Thanks for an incredible experience and your warm hospitality
The perfect place for a large family / friends get together. Warm, welcoming, historic and quite spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed every nook and cranny (of which there are many), found cooking a pleasure in the well equipped kitchen and the dining room was perfect for our group of 14. We lounged in the drawing room by a roaring fire then off to bed in a range of delightfully different rooms. Pretty much perfect. Very welcoming hosts and good grounds to explore too.
