“So THAT is how to cook a fillet steak...”
Reviewed January 12, 2012

Friends for Dinner course. My husband and I enjoyed a day together at the Cook School under the watchful eye of Chef Phil Lewis. What a briiliant concept, set up, experience and outcome! We were welcomed with coffee and warm scones as we introduced ourselves to fellow "chefs in the making" (12 of them). Demonstrations by Phil and his colleague Michael on how to make bread, how to chop onions properly, where their produce comes from and how to make the ordinary dish extra ordinary was inspiring. We had our own work kitchen which was spotless and over the next 6 hours created a 3 course meal which was amazing...and a far cry to what normally comes out of my kitchen!

This is a perfect gift - to friends or to treat yourself. As we raised a glass of wine at the end of the day to our chefs, we also sat back feeling rather pleased with ourselves as we headed home with the aroma of warm apple tarte tatin coming from the box sitting on the back seat. Book early - and classes for the kids look interesting. That is what I shall be booking up next.

“An amazing day!!”
Reviewed January 5, 2012

I was given vouchers and decided to use them for a half day class. On arrival we were greeted by a cheery member of staff, we had teas/coffee and our tutors introduced themselves. As a novice cook I was nervous but the chef tutors quickly put everyone at ease. The class was fantastic and the food we made delicious! Can't wait to go back!!
