Lovely little flat for a couple. Very well located, right on the front with brilliant views over the river Tay. Only drawback is carrying your luggage up the stairs but once you've done that it's a very comfortable, peaceful flat. I have stayed here a few times and always had a good stay.
The flat is beautifully maintained and is bright, clean and very comfortable. We really appreciated the wine and snacks John had left - and his prompt response to a problem we had. The view out from the lounge makes the climb up the flights of stairs well worthwhile. We will definitely stay again!
It was a lovely location and the flat was lovely too. It was also well stock with all the basics for cooking, eating, drinking and cleaning up.
Great apartment right opposite beach and Broughty Ferry Castle. Very well equipped and nicely decorated. We had a fabulous and relaxing Christmas break. Plenty of pubs and restaurants within a few minutes walk of the apartment.
Being picky the only additions which would be nice would be a footstool for when relaxing on sofa watching TV and a nest of tables to put drinks on, but otherwise everything was perfect.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to family and friends. We visit Dundee every year if we can as my OH was born and brought up there so we will definitely book The Beach Flat for future visits if available.
Lovely comfortable accomodation. Stayed here whilst visiting family, perfect location in Broughty Ferry, close to shops, restaurants, coastal walks.
Looking forward to return visit. John and Sam left welcoming treats which were much appreciated.
Situated just out of Dundee (less than 10 minutes from the city centre) the little village of Broughty Ferry used to be where Dundonians got into their Sunday best for a visit to the seaside. Now it's a lovely little suburb of largely Victorian era buildings, some of which have been adapted, like The Beach Flat , to holiday rentals. If you've ever wanted to live in a garret, without the starving, this is the place. It's lovely dormer looks over the Broughty Ferry Castle and the Tay River, with views across to Fife. If you are lucky like us, you may even see a seal.
Inside it has been tastefully renovated and decorated with all the mod cons. Good wifi allows you to keep in touch with the world. And if you like a bit of history, go into the shed in the back yard. It used to be the laundry in the "backies"when this was the 1899 tenement known as Ebeneezer Place. You can still see the old coppper in which the washing was done. Fantastic. Thanks, John!
