Very Spacious rooms and wonderful hospitality from Hosts Olwyn and Barrie Jack.
Lovely country setting but only minutes to Broughty Ferry and Dundee.

This was our 2nd "tour de B&B" in Scotland. 2 years ago we spend 2 days with Olwyn and Berry, and had such a good time that we had to come back for 2 days more.

Olwyn and Berry are really nice hosts in all possible ways. They are the kind of hosts you really want if you are looking for a real B&B experience.Good food, nice talk in the fireplace room and good advice on the sights, foods etc.

Also, the house is just beautifull and the view from house and garden is just something you will remember, coming from a flat country like Denmark. A 180 degree panorama view overlooking Dundee and Broughtyferry is not to be missed.

We had a very enjoyable two night stay at Duntrune House. This was our first lodging in Scotland and we could not have chosen a nicer place to start our trip. Barrie and Olwyn are wonderful B & B owners and do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. They are friendly, intelligent and helpful in the most positive of ways. Their recommendation that we have dinner at the Blue Marlin was a great suggestion; we had a wonderful seafood experience.

Breakfast each morning was excellent. You will not go wrong if you stay at the Duntrune House.

Very nice house, with very big rooms and a wonderful garden, conveniently located at only 10 minutes drive from the city centre.
We really appreciated, specifically, the attitude of the owners, who treated us more as friends than as guest (we were also driven to a nice tour to see places around that would have never found by ourselves). Breakfast was extremely rich, and we had also the chance to have dinner (which I understood is not offered all the evenings though), which we definitely recommend both for the quality of the food and for the nice environment. Should we have the chance to return to the area, we'll surely choose again Duntrun House. Stefano and Cristina.

We had a wonderful stay at Duntrune House. Lovely Victorian house with tons of history shared by Olwyn and Barry Jacks every morning over a wonderful Scottish breakfast with home made jams, jellies and preserves. Interesting to search for the historical quirks about the building. Every detail was looked after for us from sites to see and how to get there, loan of the right universal outlet for our gadgets, chats at any time of the day, walking about the grounds and a visit with Liz a local artist. All environmentally sustainable products used and available as an added feature in the bathrooms. Really great was the ability to wash our clothes and Olwyn did it for us and hung them out to dry while we went off to sight see! Now that is service. A truly wonderful time and sorry that we missed the belly dance class and now a new chef on site giving cooking lessons. Will definitely go back to visit these wonderful people and to have such a good central place to see all of the central Scotland area.

The proprietors, Barrie and Olwyn, are extremely welcoming and helpful. The rooms were of generous size with very comfy beds and a large ensuite bathroom. Olwyn and Barrie invited us to tea in their cozy sitting room warmed by a fireplace and then suggested we go out to dinner together. Afterwards, they took us on a personal tour of Dundee and helped us with directions to reach our destination the next day. Barrie cooked a marvelous full Scottish breakfast and has a voice like Sean Connery. They made our stay extremely enjoyable.

I would recommend Duntrune as a very comfortable, relaxing place to stay. Olwen & Barry are ideal hosts as they are very friendly and welcoming and its obvious that they really enjoy what they do. My friend and I booked their 'Recharge your batteries' weekend and it certainly did that. The treatments with Alison were lovely and the painting sessions with Liz were great fun - Liz is an inspirational person and was very encouraging despite being presented with two complete novices on the painting front!
