Stayed here October 2011 in a murloch executive. Absolutely amazing lodge. Bed was soooo comfortable and big - resulted in myself and my partner buying a super kingsize bed as once we'd had a taste of this bed we had to try and get a similar experience at home! bathroom was amazing - sauna was an unexpected treat! hot tub brilliant. Restaurant overlooking lake was lovely. Location brilliant. Would definitely recommend!

We spent our honeymoon in a Muirloch Lodge (13) and it was simply divine. The lodge itself was sheer luxury with a huge amount of space for 2 people and was very well equipped. Having the hot tub was a complete added bonus as well as a sauna. We were so incredibly relaxed it was perfect. I would recommend hiring the towels (10 for £10) because it saves on your own washing although the lodge had a washing machine. I cannot recommend this place enough and I can't wait to go back.

Stayed in a rainbow lodge from 29th of April til 3rd of May. We arrived after 4PM so we could immediately check in. People at the reception seemed a little rigid, conversing about the necessary things but nothing more. Credit card, check. Electricity card, check. Keys, check and bye bye.
The lodge was fine, though. It was very spacious, two bathrooms, large kitchen and beds made up.
They could upgrade the facilities. The pool was quite cold and the sauna way too warm. Also the lack of Wi-Fi inside the lodges is not of 2013 anymore.
So, in all it was reasonable, nothing more and nothing less.

Just returned from a weeks stay in a Rainbow Executive Lodge (number 1) pleased to advised that the tv problem (which was mentioned in an earlier review) has now been resolved and a new Ariel has been set-up which has sorted the problem. The maintenance staff could not have been more helpful in sorting this out for us and even came back to check the next day to ensure everything was ok.

The Lodge it's self was immaculate and very comfortable, nice touch having the heating and lights on in the lodge for guests arriving we enjoyed a lovely meal in the resturant and the hot tub was bliss.

Well done Piperdam, keep up the good standards!

Great lodge! Massive, en-suites and a good set up with entertainment! Lovely scenery and surroundings. Not too far from Dundee city centre, so handy for stag/hen parties. Only thing it's missing is sky tv and wi-fi to make it perfect!!!

My wife and I and our two friends shared a Rainbow Executive Lodge for a week.
The lodge was spotlessly clean...well furnished and finished to a good standard.
The hot tub was used often and is a lovely way to relax.
Our only "negative" comments about the lodge would be....
We were in Lodge 1 and the TV reception was terrible....(screen freezing and pixellating)...
The maintenance men said the trees caused the problem with the signal...and although they tried very hard to resolve the problem....they failed. We then met the owner...who said the tress didn't cause a problem.....!! He seemed amazed that we had problems with the TV.....
We were amazed...that he seemed amazed....
Anyway ....If you're going for this type of Lodge....try and get numbers 4 or 5 or 6.
The staff told us that the TV picture here is great.
Obviously 'though....if you don't watch telly....it won't bother you.
We were stuck indoors because of weather....that's why we were " miffed"....
One other minor point...they could do with providing bath mats in the bathroom...
We also ate in the on-site restaurant....Food and service was very good.
In conclusion we would recommend it thoroughly..(Except for THAT telly).

Looking at Piper Dam fro a wee break in September. Made some lovely memories there in June last year with my beautiful new grandson and my mum - his great granny. 83 years between them, but this resort catered for them and all the family stages in-between.

Stayed at Forresters Executive VIP Lodge - spotlessly clean, well equipped and at that time got a real bargain so excellent value for money.

Room Tip: The lodges are all beautiful - keep an eye out for off season bargains. They do exist!
