Stayed here on a hen weekend in Aug. Vegas Executive Lodge was stunning. Spotlessly clean too. Huge living areas upstairs and the bedrooms with en suite shower rooms were fab too. Only complaint about the lodge is that our hot tub was out the back of the lodge. The lodge across from us had it on the balcony which was more sociable. Kitchen was well stocked and had two freezers, two ovens, fridge and dishwasher.
Had a couple of drinks from the bar. On the Saturday we sat outside in the beer garden and it was a lovely place to be - looking out over the golf course in the sun.
Sunday night we ate in the restaurant. Food was average but it was handy to have it on site.
Would recommend for large groups looking for a quality lodge.

We have just returned from our third visit to Piperdam and although we have enjoyed our stay very much there were some disappointing points also.
The lodge we stayed in (Forrester 5) had not been cleaned to a very high standard at all. Cobwebs in the lounge, floors left white socks absolutely filthy & on packing this morning while checking the wardrobe I found someone else's underwear still in the cubby hole!! The dishwasher did not work even after 2 cycles dishes were still dirty. Washing up for 10 when you are on a mini break is not great!! The upstairs shower did not work as the water backed up through the toilet making a noise like Rolf Harris on his wobble board!!
The leisure suite as always was great with a fab steam room, sauna & pool however the empty shampoo bottle which was in the shower cubicle on Saturday morning was still there on Sunday!!
We did not eat in the restaurant this time but did go over for drinks on Sunday service was ok but I did feel at times we were an inconvenience!!
I did feel standards have slipt which is a real shame! We paid £300 per couple which is by no means cheap & I do expect my accommodation to be clean at least!

We took a 4 night mid week break to Piperdam last week which we found to be most relaxing. I was well aware of the stag partys that attend Piperdam but being there mid week had absolutely no issues with noise. We had our 9 month old baby girl with us and she slept like a log, as did we! On arrival, staff were very pleasant and gave us directions where to find our lodge with a few other helpful tips for our stay.

When we arrived in our cabin, an Osprey with hot tub, we put the baby down on the living room and then promptly picked her up again as the carpet clearly hadn't been hoovered for a while. Once I found the Hoover, I proceeded to put it together (was in bits in the cupboard) and hoovered the living room floor. As we had the baby, we were eating in the lodge every night which proved challenging as all the markings on the cooker controls were worn off. Eventually we worked out how to get the oven on (rather than grill) but had to wing it with the temperature, which is not ideal when cooking raw chicken. Come on Piperdam, at least put some markings on as to what's what. We looked through the drawer with manuals for one for the cooker, but was about the only one not there. Instructions for about 3 differrent toasters and other items which had obviously been changed out in the lodge some time ago. Wasn't just the cooker that the markings were missing from. The hot tub instructions advised only to use certain controls, but as all the markings had come off these we just had to use every button to get anything to work. The temp control on the fridge was also broken. We had taken a DVD to watch one night, but one of the batteries along with the cover of the remote was missing rendering it useless. Some of the dishes in the cupboards were found to be dirty, the colander looked as though it had just been put back in the cupboard un-washed.

There were no instructions for the boiler, and the thermostat in the living room did nothing. We had to switch the boiler off after we'd given it enough time to heat some water.

Something seemed to eat electric in the lodge. I can only guess it was the hot tub, as the jets seemed to come on and go off of their own accord. Used £10 of electric in 4 days which seems a lot to me.

We used the swimming pool on one occasion which we enjoyed, also with the benefit of the family changing area.

Overall we enjoyed our stay but paid a premium for what we got. Not sure whether we would return here or try somewhere else next time. Wouldn't say that the problems listed above ruined our stay, however, attention to the small details like these is something that Piperdam should seriously consider to ensure repeat customers.

Recently visited Piperdam for my nephew's wedding, first impressions was what a beautiful setting and we were blessed with fantastic weather. The venue for the marriage was lovely and beautifully decorated in a simple classy way, the wedding meal was very good as was the service the staff were very attentive. Only little niggle was the ladies toilet could have been checked on for keeping tidy and to replenish toilet rolls otherwise well done!

Have not long returned from a Monday-Friday break in a muirloch executive lodge at Piperdam. Have stayed before so knew what to expect. The lodges are beautiful and finished to a high standard. The grounds of the lodges are so quiet and romantic for walks, just what we wanted. Very close location to dundee and surrounding shops. Went to the restaurant one night as a special treat and was quite disappointed. Not 4* that is for sure. Would not waste my money going back there next time but would go into a restaurant in dundee. Service was good in the bar and in the restaurant it was ok. Did get the impression the staff didnt want to be there. But anyway, great stay as always. Enjoyed ourselves immensley. Would def return but miss out restaurant with a view which is a shame x

We stayed for a week in one of their Rainbow executive lodges, these really are wonderful places to stay with your own hot tub and sauna, the grounds are also wonderful and really convenient to explore Dundee and the surrounding area. I would recommend a stay here to anyone looking for a quite location with various activities on site. We tried some of the go active sports archery, body zorbs, water walkerz and sea scooters all organised by two guys (sorry can't remember their names) they were fantastic and a real credit to the resort they made every effort to make each event as fun as possible. We also used the tennis court (take your own rackets to save hiring them) and the golf range (take a couple of clubs to save hiring them).

Room Tip: We stayed in Rainbow executive lodge one perfect for a family of four.

Lodges brilliant and spacious. Food and bar great, staff very friendly. Quad biking great fun and lovely golf courses! Cracking place to holiday, peace and quiet if you wish or plenty outdoor activities to enjoy. Only 10 mins from Dundee city centre too. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return.
