Owner description: Dundee Museum of Transport has acquired temporary premises at Market Mews on the corner of Market Street and Broughty Ferry Road near the centre of the city. Only opened last weekend but what an opening! Superb exhibits plus extremely helpful and knowledgable staff make this one museum not to be missed! And it won't break the bank at only £3 for an adult! A jewel in Dundee' s crown!

“A little gem of a place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2014 via mobile

Decided to visit on hearing of its opening . The decision was a good choice . Lovely little place . Cheap admission . Wonderfully restored vehicles , with interesting information on their history . It's clear to see the pride and passion involved in the creation of this museum . Would recommend to anyone who appreciates this kind of social history and is interested in taking a step back in time . Well done to all concerned .

“BRILLIANT”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2014

Dundee has needed this type of attraction of its own for a long time and now it has it! Brilliant location and a great deal of thought has gone into getting transport to and from it. Volunteers are friendly and well informed. Very child friendly with enough room for a buggy.

“Great Opening Weekend”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2014 via mobile

Really enjoyed our trip to the Grand Opening Weekend of the museum in collaboration with Drive It Day. A fabulous turnout of historic vehicles and a great show put on. A lovely selection of vehicles in the museum and well done to all the staff and volunteers who got the place up and running, quite lot of work has been put in to it to make it a huge success! Entry tickets are affordable at £3 per adult (sorry not sure about child tickets)
Really reccomend, a great museum :)

“Fantastic visit. A great addition to Dundee!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 27, 2014

I came down to have a look on the Sunday of the opening weekend and was welcomed by the friendly volunteers and loads of old vintage veichles on display in the street (which was closed off even!!!). The exhibits on display in the actual museum itself were excellent and the staff were well knowleged and it was clear they were very passionate and enthusiastic in what they do. There were boards next to the majority of the vehicles within the museum explaining in detail their history which I thought was good, some even had pictures from the past which was even better. However, the premises is quite small given the huge collection but after being told that it is just the temporary premises it does make sense and hopefully they will get the old tram depot in a few years.. thanks for the blast to the past and all the best for the future x
