Mrs B went for an unexpected few pints and Hendricks Gins the other night and decided to enjoy a meal. I had a deluxe chicken/bacon burger which came with fries and onion rings with monterray jack cheese and in one word is was 'Lovely'. Mrs B had spicy noodles which she described as 'lovely' too. Consider this, a pint of tennants and a Hendricks gin and slim line tonic was £4.65. I cannot wait for the 'Spoons to open in Broughty Ferry to sort out the greedy pub mafia charging criminal prices for drinks. VISIT here!

I love the place, full of local characters, some nice and some not so nice. By that I mean you would not want your son or daughter to bring them home. The up side, Hardys Rose Wine £4 per bottle. Food is what you pay for, hot filling and plenty of it. Two for one deals and a separate area for those who wish to dine outwith the main bar. Never had a poor meal here,,,,,,,,,,,,always visit it on a trip to Dundee.

An unexpected wee trip to the spoons in Reform Street, Dundee on Sunday past. Although I've scored as a 3 DO NOT let that put off. Mrs Benny had the roast lamb and I had the 1/2 chicken. Absolutely great value, not the best but certainly not the worst. Only gripe was the carrots that had been peeled but quite clearly not cooked at all. Well worth a visit with the numerous beers on offers and cheap and generally quite good food.
