Traditional pub menu (steak pie, fish & chips, lasagne etc) that always tastes good and represents good value for money. Service usually very good too. (Familes note: they only have one high-chair!)

On the outskirts of Dundee lies this little hidden gem. The Invergowrie Inn serves up some excellent traditional food. Imaginative and varied menu backed up with very generous portions. Good selection of beers and wines. Well worth a visit.

Invergowrie is a village on the outskirts of Dundee heading towards Perth. On Main St is the old Inn. It is THE place to eat if you want the best of all worlds - excellent cooking, imaginative cuisine (Chicken breast stuffed with haggis!), decent draught beer, an inexpensive wine list, daily specials including good Sottish beef and a meal which is prepared to order - fresh and wholesome. The service is unsophisticated and unskilled, but enthusiastic. The senior chef is a charming lady who knows her ingredients and produces wonderful results. I have never seen the place crowded, but people who go there enjoy their food. Free wifi is also on offer. Parking is available in front of the inn, with street parking not difficult for spill-over. This is what a Scottish pub is all about.
