Arrived after midnight and the guy checking me in couldn't have been more helpful given the lateness of my arrival. Very pleasant and cheery chap. The room itself was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Made the trip hasslefree.

The Hotel has been refurbished since we stayed here last year and that is what swung us to book here again (if it had not been we would have booked an alternative hotel!).
The Hotel is now clean and fresh and all items worked.
The two extra beds in the family room were really beneficial, rather than the settee as previously.

I think this is one of the travelodges that has been recently refurbished.
The room was bright, modern and clean. The rooms are basic but there was plenty of towels a TV and tea & coffee making facilities. The hotel is near a main road, but there was no traffic noise.
No restaurant, but a nice looking cafe next door (didn't visit) and 24h tesco and asda superstores within 5 minutes drive.
Doesn't appear to be any public transport into Dundee City Centre, so you're limited to driving or a taxi.

Hotel staff were friendly but the reception seemed rarely manned (you had to press a buzzer and wait few minutes for them to appear).
My only real complaint was that the room wasn't ready when I turned up. They say check in from 3pm, but the room wasn't ready when I turned up at 5pm. Thankfully only had 5/10 minute wait for them to finish cleaning.

Booked in advance, so £25 for the night.

Newly refurbished and new logo/frontage make quite a difference to this budget hotel. Inside is bright and new and the staff were chatty, friendly and courteous. I know it's not the Ritz but the beds are comfortable and outside traffic noise was absolutely minimal (we were on the ground floor at the front next to the road) so a good nights sleep was had. Slight annoyance from the people above us who seemed to do a lot of walking on their creaky floor but otherwise a quiet night. Clean and modern bath/shower facilities. Tea/coffee making was at hand in the room as well. Not bad at all for £44.00 for a family room I must say! :)

Having stayed recently at the Edinburgh Travelodge where rooms are suffering from the need of a good clean and upgrade, l was dubious about making another reservation but decided to try the new refurbished one at Dundee. What an improvement they have worked hard and improved the dated dirty tiles with wet wall giving a new appeal , the room recently decorated had everything you need for short stay , it was clean and gave a modern feel . The weekend l was there was very hot ( unusually so for Scotland ) the rooms do hold the heat, but also understand the cost implications for air con when our weather is usually much cooler. l also slept better than anticipated , no disturbances and the A90 quietened down.Friendly staff . l would stay again. One thing the hotel is not using as a selling point is MJs diner located in the former Little Chef establishment this gets the thumbs up for a good evening meal and breakfast at very reasonable prices , couldn't fault it ......the quality of food all cooked to order is well worth the wait !

Clean, bright and no frills. Exactly what we want for the money. Bed was a little hard because we miss our mattress topper! Staff very friendly. There is an independent diner on site for good breakfast if you have the time. We noticed there was no aircon which was not a problem for Scotland in June but our room did face the South and could probably be quite hot on the occasional days.

A clean bright refurbished room in a good location a few miles from Dundee city centre. On a busy dual carriageway, so a little extra distance to travel when approaching and departing, depending on direction of travel. There is a restaurant on site, not mentioned in the description.
