We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights for a friends' wedding. The first night we went to the restaurant at 9 pm for a late meal and were told the kitchen was closed even tho the literature in our room said 9.30 pm. The server could see we were desperate so said we could dine. Food was actually tasty - salmon and veggies but we felt little rushed so didn't enjoy the meal as we had hoped after a couple of days of travelling from overseas for the wedding. Breakfast which was included in our stay was fantastic! A full range of cereal, fruit, yogurt, baked goods plus all the choices for a hot breakfast as well ...bacon, eggs, beans, sausage etc. Restaurant servers were busy keeping everything topped up and coffee/teas at our table.
The room was fine - it was clean and comfortable, basically what you would expect for this price point for a Best Western. Location of the property was a few miles down the road to a couple of good shopping centres and not far from easy access to the motorway if you are travelling the area.
The venue for the wedding was superb. The large banquet room with the floor to ceiling windows overlooked the River Tay which made a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony, meal and reception. I believe the bride and groom were happy with their choice as the guests all seemed to have a fantastic time celebrating their special day with the help of the hotel event planner and staff.

Room Tip: If you have mobility issues ask for a room on the ground floor as there is no lift and are many hall...

I dine here regularly and it's always good ,especially the function suite ,attended a wedding just last Saturday and it was first class
I booked a colleague into the hotel for three night b+ b we dined in the Redwood restaurant on the first night service was good and food ok
My colleague told me the breakfast was very good and the sausages were great the room was a single room which I checked out with him it was a good room with all amenities and priced better than the budget hotels too
I have also dined in the Redwood with my wife and grandchildren and my wife will not go back as she felt the food was too fancy and expensive for what you get
On Monday night it was very good food and service I must persuade her to try agin
All staff are very pleasant and well trained this is a very nice hotel

Really not happy. Came home at 12.30am to find all doors locked and nobody to let us in. After ringing door bell for ten minutes we resorted to banging on the door. Eventually an old man appeared being extremely rude saying 'all you had to do was ring the door bell'

To be locked out of your hotel is just not on.

Previous visit for lunch was some time ago. Recent visits for dinner have been very good. Location is very pleasant with garden and river view. Very quiet - few diners there. Set menu prices reasonable Service very good, pleasant and friendly.

Starters very good. Main Course: one vegetarian option only with mushrooms which are not eaten by our vegan. Caesar salad with chicken, exactly as it says but a bit bland.

Coffee and mints for 2 + 1 dessert. Total Bill £42.00+ for 3 is reasonable.

This was my second visit to this hotel this year. The food is fantastic especialy the dinner. We felt like we were on Masterchef trying out some great dishes. Very tasty and pretty but reasonable prices and good portions . They do an evening special of £15.00 aprox for 2 courses, Breakfast is buffet style and again very nice and good standard and quality. The decor of the hotel is very nice and the staff very polite and good at their jobs. The rooms are great with everything you need incl a good sized TV and hospitality tray with tea , coffee and biscuits. I think that the location is easier to get to by car or Taxi - not too far from the main city shops but a good walk. There is off street parking and the location is very quite with some nice grounds to the front. Lots of good central heating and hot water which is great as it was a cold winter. Nice and cosy. Would highly recommend this hotel,

Room Tip: stayed in 2 rooms both nice and spacious.

Situated in a quiet, leafy, superb a couple of miles from the city centre with ample free car parking the BW Invercarse is just OK for an overnight stay.
The room was small but well appointed, with a decent sized tv which would have benefitted from being properly tuned in, especially to radio stations.
On the plus side a stable free Wifi link was available.
Bed comfortable with decent pillows and linens but this hotel has adopted the annoying policy of providing wall mounted soaps in squeeze bottles which I hate. The towels were thin and well past their best.
My biggest complaint was that the shower was the weakest I have encountered in a long time, so ask for a room with decent water pressure.
To typify my experience my wake-up call had been mistakenly written down as being a half hour later than I had requested. I did receive muted apology, but that was it!
This hotel was fully priced, as estate agents say, but with a bit of thought to details the experience could be a lot better. I would probably stay again if the price was a bit lower

Room Tip: Ask for a room with decent water pressure if you want a decent shower.
